No it`s not. Just because someone says it is, doesn`t make it true.

On the other hand, at least we finally get on with this stuff.

"No it's not". Oh yes it is!

A general meeting is not a Board meeting. The Board 'run' the organisation and the members elect the Board. A member's meeting is, obviously, a meeting open to all members. Members meetings are also referred to as General meetings. An AGM or an EGM are both types of Members meeting or General meetings. The more normal type are the AGMs, these are routine, planned, usually a year in advance and amongst other things accounts are considered and Board members elected. An EGM* is called when something unexpected, important and urgent occurs and requires to be discussed by all Members rather than just by the Board.

*Hint: they are called 'extraordinary' general meetings because they are just that - 'out of the ordinary'.

Here endeth the first lesson...

Good that this is progressing.

Here is hoping we get the 75% required and can start the process of removing these clowns.

There is a case here for gross incompetence which they have been getting away with for far too long. That should be enough.

If there is proof of corruption too then that should hopefully seal it.

Very true, but isn`t that how the SPFL came about, new people etc? I am still for one single association, not 2 and run like a company, not committee crap, hiding behind their blazers. Probably fantasy from me.

"Run like a company" - the SPFL is a company. The full name is Scottish Professional Football Leagues Limited.

Aye but it's not run like one. It's not fit for purpose, which makes it baffling why anyone would oppose this investigation

I was referring to the fact that we have 2 bodies, one of which runs with a committee, the other, that can hardly bring any money into the game. I am not saying that it's easy to bring money in, but there just seems to be no real leadership. Of course, the clubs have a fair bit to do with that, but we do need an overhaul, imo, and it should be from the top down.

If Rangers produce, prior to the EGM, sufficient evidence to justify suspending senior staff on full pay and spending
money on an external/independent investigation, then I am sure that every fair-minded person would support an investigation. It is now up to Rangers.

I'm pretty sure that the SFA is also a registered company.

I am not sure if I have maybe not made my point clearly enough. SPR got it. I am aware of them being registered companies. I am talking about how they are run. The SFA for example, hasn't really changed how it runs in decades. It's continually jobs for the boys. The SPFL isn't much better. That is what I would like to see change. Neither comes across as very professional. That being the case, it would seem, only imo, that we need different people with stronger leadership in charge. Proper business people, but with a passion for football. I believe it's the systems we have that put off better people.

Again, just my opinion. Easy to implement? Doubt it. The right solution? Don't know. Fact is, our whole set-up has been lacking now for a long long time.
