Our 16/17 team were so good, would have been worthy champions that year. Shame Conte switched to 343 and Chelsea won virtually every game from there onwards.

Don't see us getting back to those heights for a very long time. Think we had +60 goal difference that year.

Sorry mate, but he won nothing in his five years at Spurs with Spurs best team in a generation. His time has come and gone.

We have moved on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who assembled that team on a budget far lower than rival clubs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Most of that the best players were there before Pochettino arrived. So no he didn`t actually assemble the team. The previous managers did.

Presumably we won loads of trophies under them then..

Agree but should have won a trophy. Every other top 6 club won a trophy whilst we didn't.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool won one (I believe?). And it could've gone our way. We're talking about a one-off game which the victor is hailed one of the best managers around and the other is sacked shortly after.

Fine margins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mate, im not disagreeing with you. I get fine margins and all that. I loved Poch but I still think he should have won us a trophy with the best squad we have had in decades

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spot on.

Some fans crying about a serial loser when we have a serial winner at the helm now. Spurs fans except for myself are such a weird bunch LOL

Should have played Moura from the start of in the final. Bad decision which cost us a trophy.

He was in a similar boat to Klopp at Liverpool before Klopp got some real money to spend, although Poch had to deal with a change of stadium, no money to spend for a year, and still performed better in the league than Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Us signing vvd Alisson and fabinho when spurs signed no one was the difference, both sides were on a par but we spent serious money on top players and spurs didn't which is a pity for spurs cause that was the real opportunity to go to the next level.

But you did build a savage new ground so in the long run it could work out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah, you only brought two decent players, that shouldn`t have made that much of a difference. Our manager just could not motivate the team to win. He dismissed domestic trophies like they didn`t matter. That is pretty unforgiveable in my book.

Yeah we should have dedicated ourselves to a more of a silver fox type manager like you did wahl

goes to show the squad was overrated by many due to what Poch got out of it. look at the state of it now.

Would 100% take Poch back in the future. Definitely unfinished business, but let’s hope Jose gets us some trophies before though. Time to back Jose guys.

I hope Jose works out, but I'm yet to see anything to suggest he will. He'll get the first half of next season and if we're still shiiiite he'll be gone.

If we're really body shaming now, can we talk about how unhealthy Jose looks now? Built like Rodney Trotter but without the height. Looks ill to me.
