Can we clarify the criteria.
Is it at their best? Longevity ? Silverware etc

Whilst Lampard was outstanding and I clearly rate him highly with me putting him in sixth of all time PL central midfielders, I think the others above him had more to their game.
Mascherano was absolutely outstanding for us. Similar player to Kante, quick, aggressive, tactically aware but with a better passing range, which was an underrated part of his game.
Looks like I forgot Essien also. I'd put him at 3 and nudge the others down one.
