I take offence at my minerals as a rangers supporter being questioned

As with pretty much all news lately my ignorance is blissful.

Think I’ll be keeping it that way for a good while yet.

Miller

You do yourself a disservice Sir!

You and the other Bears posting are real Rangers fans.

Some others just come on here to Do Battle.

Was that a bit patronising and just believable at the same time?

Yaas!

The best bit about today wasn't the empty(ish) dossier..

It was Robertson claiming Rangers hadn't accused the SPFL of bullying

It's like someone pointing to a dog and saying, "I'm not saying this is a dog.. but what I will say is that it has four legs and a tail, barks, sniffs the erse of its kin, chews on bones, fetches sticks, and answers to Rover.. but I'm not calling it a dog"

<If you honestly think this vote was fair then I despair>

Zach I do not lie don't have a bozzer about the vote.

I know that you've cited this on scores of occasions so it obviously means

something to you & I accept that. Dunno why Ragers don't have

overwhelming support from other clubs as well. But I'm in danger of

getting involved so I'll shut up about it noo.

Of all the skullduggery & chickenshit stuff over the past decade with

Scottish fitba & a succession of regimes at Rangers this is less than

Vauxhall Conference. Especially in a pandemic.

Yet scotland has a much lower infection and death rate than the rest of the UK 🤷‍♂️
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scotland hasn't the population density of England which is a large factor in why we've faired better than other regions. Scotland's workforce is less dependent on a vibrant private sector with many more in civil service roles made to abide by rules rather than flaunt to grab profits.
I would suggest the spread is being fueled by people ignoring guidance. Reports suggest parts of the UK are not following instructions (London) where tea time congestion is still a daily occurance. The shut down in Scotland has been largely enforced and observed.

I'd say that might be fair.

I've described Doncaster as a generic senior civil servant type in a private enterprise. He wants to be paid to smile nod and ask what we would do and never affect real change. He's not a bad guy I don't think.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let’s not forget either the difficulty of coming to a pathway in short timescales, with Covid restrictions, to address an unprecedented situation that the rules don’t easily cater for all whilst 42 shareholders, media, uefa, sponsors and tv are sniping at you from all angles - oh, and do it in super quick time, please!

I’d give some leeway. My criticism of Doncaster is his invisibility cloak the past 3 or so years.

But don’t underestimate the scale of the task. It is the primary reason why things move so slowly in the game. And the trading we saw on WhatsApp is what would normally get done in the room, over the tea break, at the water cooler, in the car park, in the car share back to Brechin and Arbroath etc. It would have been more effective in coming to conclusions and chairmen being more satisfied they had given it due consideration.

All this Doncaster has not sold very well. Belgium aside, Scotland was right up there at the forefront of making league decisions. When did that ever happen?

Bozo flew a kite the other day re “loosening” the lockdown
It wasn’t brilliantly received and they are now backtracking and blaming the big bad media
Their message is all over the place because the populist need to be lived rules bozos head
The $hite that folk may be allowed out more than once for exercise ffs as if that’s not happening a lot at the moment is guff

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This increase in the R number is done primarily to outbreaks in care homes and hospitals.

So that means the rest of society all remain locked down now does it?

I genuinely am getting past the point of caring or worrying. They appear to be contradictory and bereft of any real leadership instead resorting to the lowest base of locking everyone up as much as they can barely tolerate.

The economic damage is all but done now so in a few months time we’ll be hearing from the millions who will inevitably lose their jobs and their homes and screaming hysterically about why the government didn’t allow them to take some responsibility and concentrate on where the real outbreaks are and who deliberately flaunts their guidelines. We have a one size fits all policy now.

Brilliant.

Surprised Boris would be caught flying a kite! Given the frequency I seen bozo or trump blimps in the past year.

I'd think Photoshopping the two together would be child's play.

Offering a funny if not offensive backlash with the potential to go viral. Pulling the President's strings, UK still keeping trump grounded, Boris is weighing Trump down. Etc

Zach regarding the fairness of the vote. Gers made claims they haven't backed up. Everyone listened then asked for proof. It was released and no proof. Vote is intact.
I don't think many would argue the system isn't flawed. But rules weren't broken. Clubs flouted some loopholes to gain advantage which however distasteful is permitted. I think Gers are missing being the establishment club atm. Wanting the deciding vote. Not the first time League rules have worked against yourclub. Least it's Hearts going down.

I do t disagree my point was Bozo wasn’t serious he was as ever making policy on the hoof
I think we need to open up businesses to get the economy moving
Liam said to me the other day he could get used to sitting in the garden at 80% pay that’s a big issue

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Undoubtedly the country has become used to having significant time off whilst their bills are being paid but we’ve almost become addicted to it.

I’ve had instances this week from many clients who are able and want to get back operating only to be told in no uncertain terms by many workers that they’ve no intention in coming back until well after the furlough scheme ends as they will not bony have had all their bills proud but can’t spend either and thereby making savings. And that if forced back to work will go out of their way to find some breach of the guidelines however small to walk away and sue. Plenty of cases already gathering pace.

As I’ve said, eventually it will stop and it won’t be a simple case of having a huge national debt. We’ll have huge redundancies, repossessions and loss of livelihoods across swathes of the country. And the gap between haves and have nots will get even wider.

Sadly i think the only way that folk will be "Forced" back to work is if it's cut to 60%, most folk with no travelling expenses etc can hack the 80% thing.
I'm not advocating cutting it just saying/agreeing with you it's become "free" money
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It needs cut Zach and the worst thing we did was extending it another month weeks before we needed to thereby giving a significant leeway where nothing needs to change.

If they hadn’t done it I think more businesses would have made moves quicker to provide safe access and/or methods of working.

In many cases most of them are but other than construction (and even there the guidance is contradictory and weak) the government are refusing to even bother discussing with them what they are doing and whether it is workable or not.

In very simplistic terms if we have the situation now where care homes and hospitals are the continuance of spread why aren’t these places just out of bounds other than essential necessity? No visitors; nothing.

Yet garden centred, retail outlets, offices and manufacturing can take measures but remain closed?

It’s a one size fits all policy. What did Italy open first? Cafes and bars. Social distancing and outside service. Exactly what people would see as being beneficial to their lives and give them some degree of hope.

The U.K.? Fwck that. Everything stays shut. No hope.

I think care homes largely are.Although i have a visit booked for Monday I stand outside a window and a carer holds a fon so that i can talk to the auld yin,Y'oud need to be insane to want to go in and put them at risk.
My oldest has two sites up and running but only 2 men on each, he says it's pointless as they cannot get much done. His guys are wanting to go back to be fair and the overtime will be obscene as they play catch up.
Again, and I know I go on< If it's ok for me to get 4 buses a day work 4 10 hr shifts then go into asda where they are also working why cant a coont lay bricks
