Like seriously Cinci you just going to stay in your basement for the next 4 years + until you eventually succumb or get bored of living a life well it's not even a life of complete fear and anxiety and paranoia?

These so called genius well paid scientists from all over the world in 3 months have learned next to nothing concrete about this virus
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't stay in my basement, i go out every single day for 4-6 hours walking the trails, woods etc, EVERY single day, i pass very few people and if i do i step off the trail and pull up my face covering out of respect for the other person.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We're not allowed to do that though. I can't even imagine being in a tower block through all this.

Kind of flouting the exercise lockdown rule as well, allowed out once a day not half the day you're awake

The lockdown has only eased in general / more people starting to travel on the roads a bit more etc because everyone is sick and tired of it now, it hits a point where you can only spend so much of your life living in fear and taking every precaution under the sun, the reality is if it's gunna get ya it's gunna get ya.

Reality is it isn't going away and you can catch it anytime anyplace any where no matter what you do because they still have fack all credible evidence on exactly how you catch it

As long as you be sensible, wash your hands, keep your distance, cough/sneeze in a tissue etc if you need to then there is not much else you can really do, that's the reality
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That isn't the reality at all, you can quite clearly avoid contracting the virus. People are dying because of the attitude you are displaying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is my attitude? I have adhered to every aspect of the lockdown, i wash my hands before i leave the house, and again when i come back in, i don't touch anything i'm not going to buy, i don't touch my face while i'm out or when my hands aren't clean, i don't sneeze or cough in public and if i did i'd use a tissue i take tissues out with me, i keep my distance in queues and don't get close to anyone.

So what exactly have i done or is my attitude?

I'm just saying it's hitting that point where the actual "lockdown" does more harm than good. Not to be confused with the social distancing / hygeine awareness i mean the "lockdown" shops being shut etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty sure visiting ten shops a day for pumping soap isn't advised

won't even go into how the first few weeks before finding ebay i went to about 10 different shops a day to try buy some damn pumping soap every single day
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well yeah, it is morons like you that prolong this crap
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair i'd say the same, it's morons like you that prolong it with your scare mongering
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What scaremongering. Following simple rules.

Lets take your comment literally. In the first few weeks, prior to which you could easily have been infected and showed no symptoms. You say ten shops a day every single day, lets just call it a week. So 70 visits to stores for feckin pumping soap(embarrassing in itself that you were that desperate for pumping soap). So assuming you were affected for this argument which you quite possibly could have been, you spread the virus 70 separate times for pumping soap, lets just say infecting 1 person every other visit just to be kind and ignoring the people those people then go on to infect. It multiplies fast, all for feckin pumping soap. It doesn't get any more ignorant or stupid than that, well done
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what i don't get though, i know it's not intentional but you're contradicting yourself.

Me apparently going on the hunt for soap, where i didn't end up getting any so i haven't touched anything in the shop, i haven't coughed or sneezed, and i've kept my distance in a queue.

So how have i spread the virus? Lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I assumed you were breathing during this process. It isn't just a cough or sneeze that can spread an illness. And doing what you did there is no way you could visit that many places without spreading germs, no way at all. We pass on germs all day long in all manner of ways in normal life, that hasn't suddenly changed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So by your own admission me being in a shop for 5 mins is more dangerous than you breathing and huffing/puffing (near the end of your 4-6 hour walks) for 4-6 hours a day in the open air?

Come on mate...

When you get bad eczema and dry skin and everyone has bought all the soap and bulk-bough because you yourself don't bulk buy then you have to do what you have to do.

To be fair i was slightly exaggerating anyway, it was between say the 14th when i got made to work from home and until about the 25th when i got the ebay link from a friend so only really 2 days of lockdown, but even so it is an essential item for myself

If people are obeying the rules, they're obeying the rules.

I went out for a three hour walk in the countryside the other day, just as you do every day, but I'm breaking rules and you're not because some bloke said so.

I think we should be careful in judging orhers on this. Dont rake the p!ss but lets not freak out either.

This would all be a lot easier if they actually tested people. They can't even take their own advise.

yeh but come on 4-6 hours a day out and about? That is taking the p!ss, the government say we can go out everyday to shop for items we need and to exercise once a day. I go out for an hour in the evening after work to exercise, and about 20 minutes in the morning to get some shopping

I'd say going on walks for 4-6 hours a day is a lot more of a p!sstake than me spending 20 minutes a day (well about 5 minutes in the actual shop/supermarket) to get some things

Not really, i am out in the middle of nowhere seeing next to nobody. You are going into buildings where at least 100 other people will go each day, the exposure level is infinitely higher.

I am not gonna go on, it is pointless, you won't change your attitude and sadly their are millions like you who can't make the smallest of sacrifices.

Sandy , really mate ? For someone who was born in and around just after the war time, you are not the most patriotic of people are you ? I don’t see the problem with it mate. We have had these debates already about coronavirus and you know my views. I don’t see what good does of people sitting inside miserable and depressed just because we are going through a pandemic. If we had this attitude, you might as well just give up on life now. What’s the point ? If people wanted to celebrate a defying moment in British history, what is wrong with it? Nobody congregated in thousands in parks. Everyone respected the social distancing rules. The quicker we slowly get the economy rolling and gradually get back to enjoying our lives, the bloody better it will be
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don, just because I don`t go around waving a flag around every five minutes and singing God Save the Queen, doesn`t mean I am not patriotic. I love my country the same as everybody else.

What I am not though is Nationalistic. I don`t give a hoot for the Royal Family, and why should I, They are a privileged family, that have just had wealth and privilege past down to them. How can one family have so much unearned wealth, and others living in cardboard boxes on the street?

If people want to support the Royal Family fine, but don`t expect us all to do.

I have nothing against any of them personally, I don`t know them. Just the Royal Familiy nonsense.

Oh and I saw on TV this morning street parties, where dozens of people were all on top of each other. They will be the first to moan, when one of their family falls victim to the virus.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what I find weird though as your generation are very patriotic, especially since the war. You are the complete opposite and almost blast people for being proud of their country. Just find it strange coming from someone of you’re era. I don’t sit and wave the flag, neither am I a great fan of the royal family, but I would never judge anyone that wants to fly the British flag outside their home or have a small gathering to celebrate a defying moment in British history. You need to stop judging people mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don, I have said I am patriotic, not to the point of being Nationalistic either. My Dad was the same, he fought in the war, but he didn`t feel the need to keep on walking around with his medals on every five minutes. In think he never wore them from the day he got them, and he rarely talked about the war. He did his duty, but didn`t think the need to keep bringing it up every five minutes, like he was going to be treated any different. Most of his generation were the same. Usually the ones you see wearing their medals all the time are professional soldiers, or whose whole life centred around the war. Our family tried to forget it most of the time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fair play mate, RIP your Dad

After mine came out he pretty much lost any faith in politicians, and was pretty devastated but unsurprised when the Second World War broke out.

They had a couple of world wars and then started fighting with other peoples soldiers instead basically.

The amount of war in the past 120 years and the numbers involved is mind boggling.

Both mine did mate, I have some decent army pics of one Grandad, he survived the war, but died of cancer at only 54 in the 1930s, so I never knew him as such. My other Grandad died 1956, so I knew him as a young lad.

I think this a deliberate ploy by the Government. It is not about those coming in, it will be about Brits going on holiday to places like Turkey, Greece, etc. Saying you have to quarantine for two weeks when coming back, more or less knocks foreign holidays on the head. The economy will be on the floor, so I think they don`t want people spending abroad, they want them spending at home. It`s typical of this Government really, all money driven.
