I guess being a "neutral" you don't really understand.

"Neutral"What an absolutely hilarious opinion of yourself. I guess your opinions and knowledge is so poor you need something to try and give a bit of weight to what you say.

Your knowledge of the English language and how to use it correctly are what's poor.

Are. Are. Are.

Not 'is' in the sentence I highlight below:

How should you have won it if you finished third? Are you saying the table was wrong then?? What am I missing..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we were the best team in the league until the vicious assualt on one of our players destroyed the mental state of our young, inexperienced squad. Without that we would have won the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it was more because your captain decided to throw tantrum in the middle of the pitch for all the world to see, then the teammates saw that and followed their leadership

Arsenal still wouldn’t have won the title. They didn’t have the minerals to win a league title. They were the archetype for what Wenger’s teams became after Viera left.

Mentally weak?

Isn't this Shameless bloke the nonce who used to make YouTube videos of himself wearing Primark shades and chatting absolute crap about United?

Physically as well.

The year Arsenal really should have won the PL was 15/16. They were the only top team that year that was semi consistent and they lost out to Lester.

Should've won it in 2011 aswell. Can't even remember who won it that year, the league was so shet

One 'very bad' injury derailing your season says it all. Team Like Utd, City etc, plus the old Arsenal wouldn't have let that have such an impact.

Not really. We had Utd on toast in 2010-11.

Then Diaby lost his head, we dropped that 0-4 lead at Newcastle and that derailed us. Otherwise we would have won it that year.

We had Cesc and RVP in electric form.

This is the problem with Arsenal fans, they don’t realise the league doesn’t finish in February.

Nah, we were one Luiz slip away from winning the league that year.

Honestly, people forget just how good Arsenal were in 07/08 because the team was dismantled afterwards. Our best area was midfield and only Fabregas played the next season (albeit irregularly due to injury). Hleb went to Barca, Flamini to Milan and Rosicky sat the whole of 08/09 out. Gilberto Silva was sold at the end of that season, too.

Up front we had Van Persie, Adebayor, Eduardo and (I know) Bendtner.

Toure and Gallas made for a decent centre back partnership, and Clichy and Sagna made PFA team of the year that season. Our only weak spot was goalkeeper.

This was the season Arsenal became the first English team to beat AC Milan (reigning European champs) at the San Siro. The football we played that year is the best I've ever seen from Arsenal bar none.

The idea that Man United was clearly better, let alone bleeding Chelsea, is a joke.

The football we played was sublime.

I’d never seen a team dominate games with the ball as much as we did. We went to Anfield around November time and made Liverpool look like a scrappy League 1 outfit (we had 70% possession).

We were Barca before Barca were Barca.

Unfortunately it only lasted until mid-February. Then the whole thing went up in smoke because the team was mentally weak, in the image of Wenger. We let one injury, to a player who wasn’t that important, sabotage the whole operation.

Well that United team was special and in hindsight we did well to compete so well with them. Even when we were top at Christmas, most Arsenal fans didn’t expect to win the league.

We had inferior teams in 10/11 and 15/16 compared to the 07/08 team but we SHOULD have won the league those seasons, if not for pathetic bottlejob collapses. 07/08 the right team won the league. Still annoys me we finished behind Chelsea though.

And going out to Liverpool in the fashion we did still bothers me today.

It was only a year later when United destroyed you at the Emirates in the CL

Leicester deserved it 2016. They only lost 3 all season.

But we should have won in 2011. Typical Wenger nonsense surrendering the title to an inferior Fergie team.

posted on 12/5/20

The right teams won because they had the bottle and mentality to win when it matters

But we still should have won the league in both those seasons. 10/11 was a spectacular bottlejob especially when you look at the fixtures we dropped points in after being humiliated by Birmingham at Wembley. And 15/16 was meant to be our year. We had the best squad, all our rivals were in transitional periods with squads and/or managers. That was our chance to win the league and instead Leicester were the ones to take advantage of everyone else being awful

posted on 12/5/20

Yeah we definitely had the best squad in the league in 2015-16. We had the two best players as well.

I remember writing articles about it.

The Wenger Effect took hold once more. He could have had Messi & Ronaldo and still not won the league.

Bottle is a thing in football. Arsenal haven’t had it in a very long time. Which is why I’ve never understood why their fans think they should have won in these seasons when we all knew they didn’t have what it takes.

02/03 is one you’d have a point. That team had a proven habit of winning league titles. The others nobody expected them to other than some of their fans, and so it came to pass. Spurs were the North London club everyone expected to win the league that season let’s not forget.

posted on 12/5/20

*proven habit probably over-egging it, but they’d proven they could that season and the season after.
