Jelavic because he actually won us stuff.

Although he did play under a proper manager for the first year of his spell here, unlike the plethora of diddys we've had in the last 9 years.

Although I think they'd have made a decent partnership.

Agree with that, Morelos would work well with Edouard or Jelavic next to him.

Hooper was class also

I'd say Morelos is more Samaras

hot and cold, better in Europe

not much in it for me Jelavic edging it.

Both very good goals return though Jelavic did it in a much better team.
Morelos much better in European goals return.

Both good team players.

Aye.

I think it'd be more akin to when Jelavic/Miller played up front for those first 6 months when Miller provided the effort (and tbf a decent strike rate for the only time in his career), whilst Jelavic would provide the extra level of quality.

Jelavic stood out on an already good Rangers team. Probably the last big signing that completely justified his fee.

I think Jelavic cost near 4 times Morelos.

If he justified his fee which I think he did, then certainly Morelos has as well.

Morelos has proved to be a bargain. He does look like a player who wants a move though.

I don't think anyone doubts Morelos hasn't justified his fee - what you paid for you definitely got. But has he exceeded it? That is perhaps the bigger debate.

I'd say yes he has but not to the level some think he is worth now

I like that we are talking football again, as for Jelavic and Morelos debate, I would edge towards Morelos given that he doesn't have the same quality of team mates around him, but then I look at his temperament and how he appears to tail off post Christmas 🤔 Good question that only the bears can answer I suspect

Does anyone really expect any big or many transfer moves this season? I suspect it will be a case of teams sitting on their hands and seeing how things are progressing on the COVID front and the financial impacts from this.

I would much rather face a Gers side with Morelos in it than Jelovic.

There will be big moves just not for the big money that has been happening recently

Jelavic bought for 4mill ish sold for 5 mill ish
Thouh fek knows where that money went.

Morelos bough for around 1 mill ish

Everyone and everyones granny has a view on what he will be sold for.

Value = ability is not much of a measure

Jelavic may have and IOM would have gone for more were it not a rush get cash in move.

Championship players in England going for 20 mill

Morelos might got for 5 mill or 15 mill
The transfer market is insane and obscene

I'm not saying morelos hasn't. What I mean is he's the last one big money was spent on that I think was absolutely worth it. Kent for example is questionable.

Everyone looking forward to some fitbaw on the tele this weekend?

Bundesliga kicks off at 2pm on Saturday, Dortmund v Shalke.

I think BT are showing every single game over the course of 3 days.

What part of Kent's fee was questionable?

None of it was questionable, all of it was ludicrous. Your board paid £7M because he scored a goal v Celtic and pushed Scott Brown in the face. He was very inconsistent while on loan.

Still wished we had tried to do the same and play games every 3 days in July until mathematically, places were decided at the top and bottom at least.

Talking 2 weeks worth of football maybe.

I'd expect the season to be called by next week if i'm honest.

Hearts and Thistle may sue for compensation but that's about it.

Stranraer have already bowed out of the fight.

agree

Kent has been great at times but not nearly enough of those performances yet.

Wide players generally lack consistency and he is still relatively young.

He has the ability to be very good and given the fees paid for players these days I don't think its OTT (that's just based on football not current finances).
