If you're talking about the P.B.S. series , yes , twice.
I'm a P.B.S. member, i.e help pay for it.
That said, conscripts and volunteers went and did their job. A lot of blame to go around for errors , massive errors made. But , capitalism [ warts and all] versus communism , i'll take capitalism, please, and thank you .

On the subject of the pbs documentary, I've watched it a couple times and every time I'm impressed again. It's fantastic.
The civil war one is excellent too.
firstly, bill gates, can blame him for a lot of things, especially windows vista... but not for the coronavirus.
he, or rather, his foundation, funds a lot of different disease/virus research and treatment/distribution.
he doesn't set the terms for each individual drug trial, you can't blame him directly for some drug trial in india. in one of his most recent interviews, he freely admits that all drug trials need a lot more oversight. but that oversight should be coming from the medical authorities authorising those trials, not the foundations funding them.
as for most senseless war in history, surely that should be the crusades...
'look, those people over there all believe in a different fictional deity to the fictional deity we believe in. quick, lets get all our young men together, march over there and kill them.' how effing senseless is that?
