Ahh ok, I read it the wrong way round, I thought it was going to take priority over goal difference etc. In fact thinking about it, I think I do remember hearing about it at the start of the season
Last season there was a point where it looked like the title, CL places and relegation could have ended up being decided by a play off. Obviously that didn’t happen, but I think the pl didn’t want to risk this potentially happening again in the future, however unlikely that is.

As a United fan I’ve always dreaded Liverpool winning the league.
They are winning in the most bearable way.
We had accepted months ago this was happening but the fear was that they would win more.
Then they went out of the FA cup and CL and now they will win it in front of an empty stadium. No painful renditions of YNWA before games, no bus parade.
Just feels like a stat now.

Pathetic that they'd rule out the idea that Liverpool would lose all remaining 9 games and City winning all their remaining 10.

Liverpool only need 6 points to guarantee the title (realistically they only need 5 if City can't beat them by 2 goals or more at the etihad). There are 9 games left. If Liverpool lost 7 they would still win the title.

You responded thay they would have to lose 7 rather than 9.
They don't have to lose 7. They could lose 7 and still win the league even if City won all their games.
So yes, you failed at your counting.
