i read so much bs about pogba by haters and deluded fans. pogba whatever is attitude is still one of the top 5 cm in the epl. Its like hearing poor people complaining about ferraris mpg and saying the would rather a prius

Pogba is more talented player no doubt. The way Liverpool play, Henderson suits them. Klopp would have to play a different system if he had Pogba instead of Henderson.

So Henderson is perfect for the system Liverpool play currently and Pogba would not be. Take out Pogba and put in Henderson into the side at United and the United midfield regresses.

You have to define better in more detail then. If you mean better as in has more talent & ability then sure Pogba is better than Henderson.

I define it as fulfilling their role and don’t get me wrong there isn’t a huge gap here, but I think Hendo has provided what he is expected to whilst Pogba has only done that in spurts. The have that he has superior ability to Hendo further strengthens this argument ie. he has the potential but doesn’t fulfil it often enough.

In terms of fulfilling their roles to use percentages (based on my opinion) to demonstrate I would say this:
Pogba - 75%
Hendo - 80%
Messi & Ronaldo - 99% (don’t believe in 100%)
Players like Keane/Scholes/Lampard/Gerrard - 90%

As mentioned before this stupid question of better is nonsense and to follow your ridiculous reductio ad absurdum- Peter Schmeichel vs Messi who is better? Pointless debate based on a simpleton’s query of ‘better’

You can't call Pogba a world class player when he doesn't deliver it on a consistent basis. Adama Traore at Wolves is probably "world class" on his day and is unstoppable really, but that doesn't make him world class because he doesn't do it every week.

The point is that regardless of people's opinions on work ethics, you're comparing two different levels of player when you're comparing Pogba to Hendo. It's a bit like comparing Antonio Valencia at his best to Eden Hazard. Valencia was good and worked hard, but he was never on peak Hazard's level really.

Yeah but at least (for a large part of Valencia’s career at least) played in a similar role, even then Hazard was clearly a more advanced player who was always likely to score more.

This is why the vast majority of balon d’ors go to offensive players (Messi/Ronaldo period excluded because they’re both just ridiculous). People enjoy goals more and assists etc and it’s a lot easier to quantify. How many keepers and defenders have won the balon d’or? Not many at all. You have to wonder why...
