Six players or staff from across the Premier League have tested Positive this afternoon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest I expected a lot more than that.

Out of nearly 800 people. That is literally nothing Sandy. Not only that, but the players probably don’t even know they got it, so will be perfectly fine. Stop with the mass hysteria mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They may have given it to their families, who may have passed it on to somebody else. Not hysteria Don. That is how 35,000 died because it spreads very very quickly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who they going to pass it to? none of us have seen our families for 2 months mate. It will be their household only and we been in lockdown for 2 months not able to see anyone properly. The spreading of the disease like it was at the beginning has long gone mate.

I think footballers and football clubs in the prem have done their part. Trying to claim otherwise and hold them just as responsible as the government for the lack of tests across the NHS and care homes because you dont want football to resume is pretty desperate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure they had to get that old lad to do aps of garden to raise funds, I'd laugh if that wasn't so tragic.

I know you're hearts in the right place sandy but we can't expect society to be in total lockdown forever for fear that one person could spread it.

Jesus Sandy, how many times do you have to be told? Change the record.

The NHS don't use the same testing equipment as the PL will be using. By the time football starts back the supply and demand of testing will be easily sustainable anyhow.

The league is starting back, you'll just have to deal with it and stop whining about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

League finished last weekend. You can deal with it. I have moved on to next season now.

It's still high but good to see the numbers continue to fall. Just got to hope the numbers are still falling this time next week (two weeks after restrictions eased).

That's not accurate , there were over 2400 new cases today , no doubt they've spread to family whom dont show symptoms they go shopping and so fourth and before you know it were back to where we were.

Avi Lasarow, chief executive of Prenetics EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa), told BBC Sport that "categorically" none of the tests the company will carry out for the Premier League could have been used by the NHS.

"We of course do not impinge or take away from any testing the NHS is doing," he said.

"All the tests are privately sourced, as well as the other areas of the supply chains, so they are definitely not taking away from the NHS.

"The government has an infrastructure capability which has been developed to scale up to mass testing volume. It is very clear that we can now see that happening and as an organisation if we were asked to provide additional services we would prioritise that."

We have exactly the same problems over here, Sandy!
If it is any consolation, UK is not the only place where government incompetence reigns.

2400 new cases is low. Good news.

Low

10 new cases would be considered low.

Ted, it is not a coincidence that the two countries with the worse death tolls, also have the two most incompetent leaders.

What?
Are you for real? Why is 2400 is low and what is this 4000?
A low rise shouldn't be a figure on the thousands? like 2400?
How's that acceptable?

It was in the 4000s recently, so I am merely stating that 2400 is better than that. Obviously it is still high but it is going in the right direction.

Not in the real world and the context of where we currently are sandy. Plenty of lovely graphs out there which show a nice downward curve with infections.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The graphs also show UK is the second worse for deaths in the world. Although we are not being shown them. Or graphs for care home deaths.
