Remember every single detail.

From arriving at the airport and being interviewed by STV news when my maw had just called the school to say I was ill to sit my prelims.

To arriving at our 4 star luxury hotel in Seville for it to be unfinished with no water in the pool area in 100 degree weather.

The big massive strip like Buchanan street was a sea of green and white and the pubs ran out of booze the night before the game.

Porto fans mingling well.

The game itself was a cracking football game but fluck me, absolute heartbreaking. Still adamant if we had Boruc in goals we’d have won the game.

Remember afterwards seeing so many grown men in tears as the realisation that a once in a lifetime achievement had just slipped through our fingers.

Unforgettable 3 days and I loved 99% of it.

Remember waiting about an hour for CATB the night before in the big park and they shoved Billy McNeil on stage to keep the crowd happy n the big man looked like he was going collapse due to the heat

watched it in a place called O'Neills Bar, mind getting drenched for our 2 goals and then crying when they scored the 3rd

about 100 Celtic fans done a huddle outside the pub after it n we went a walk looking for a pub that was open at the square n they were all shut or dead.

That city missed out on the night of its life

also remember the Porto fans were asking to swap tops and scarfs non stop

Everything apart from the result.

I mind being so angry I took my dog for a 3 hour long walk after.. booting fvck out of bus shelters and the lot. Genuinely in tears of anger 😂

A mate of mine was getting me 4 tickets for the final from a pal of his who stayed in Liverpool and was a Liverpool fan. He applied for them when they drew us thinking it was a gimme. Before the second leg of the semi, he was selling me them for face value-£25 each. After we got through to the final, we booked flights, accommodation and a car. Wasn’t long before the final my mate called me to say his papers had changed his mind and had seen what they were selling for on eBay, and if I wanted them I had to bid for them. There was no way I could afford a lot after shelling out ad hoc for this trip (we were going for 5 days with an overnighter in Manchester the night before we flew out!), and I called the guy selling the tickets. Offered him £100 for 1 ticket, and that covered the cost of all 4 he had bought. Offered him another £100 for 1 more ticket, and he was in profit, and he could sell the other 2 for whatever he wanted. Also offered him the chance to go to any Celtic home game he wanted anytime he was in Glasgow.

Tried to appeal to him that getting to the final of a European trophy meant more to a Celtic fan than a Liverpool fan, as they had more chance of achieving that, and how would he feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Thankfully, he agreed and I got the 2 tickets.

Never met the guy, but I did tell the 2 folk sitting next to me at the match that I only paid £100 for a ticket compared to the £700 each he charged for the other 2.

Sleeping outside the cathedral with all the CSC flags from around the world tied between the trees, carnage!

Watching on the big screen in the car park, going mental when we scored and the deflation at the final whistle.

Ended up in Malaga with a mate in a cafe, saw a local ordering a plate of onion rings, thought he'll have some of those...his face as bit in and realised it was calimari. Memories!

I had just got a new job a month before the final and my boss sat everyone down and warned that anyone who didn't show up for work didn't have a job to come back too, was a sh!te job and to this day I regret no going to Seville anyway.

Ended up me and 3 mates watched the game in Waxy O'Conners, atmosphere was unbelievable but when it ended you could hear a pin drop, the game really felt like it was their for the taking which just made it hurt more.

I ended up walking 13 miles home that night coz I lost my wallet, made work the next day and got sent home after 20 minutes coz I was stinking of booze.

I was living in Cyprus at the time. Was supposed to be flying to Madrid with a mate then driving down. he got done for drink driving 2 weeks before and got banned from leaving island. I opted not to go on my own.

Watched it in a huge bar in a sea of green a white. KevvyBhoy was with me and it was a memorable day. There were a lot of Rangers fans amongst us behaving well and good humour.

At full time when we were all gutted one of the Rnagers boys had went home, got changed into full piper outfit and played the pipes as we trudged out of the pub. Some memory a few boys in floods of tears knowing that may have been our generations moment gone.

Where abouts in Cyprus did you go to watch it Murn?

By the time my ticket came through I'd missed all the direct flights to Seville so booked a week's holiday instead. Shared a hotel with a supporters club from Ayr who were superb the whole week. Just crying with laughter every single day at them. Some of their stories....

Anyways, hired a car and drove up to Seville for the day with my them girlfriend. Bought an extra ticket from a Porto fan for 300 euros and we managed to sit together.

The game itself was a blur. Just full of ecstatic highs and awful lows in a 5 goal thriller. Long drive back to the resort (about 3 hours if I remember) but at least we could still have some beers as mostly everywhere was still open.

Incredible trip I'll never forget.

Lost the league on the Sunday though

Took the day off work for the uefa public sale of 12,000 tickets before the qf. Sat online with a dial up connection till finally got through each page of the process at 11.30 at night when the confirmation page crashed. Phoned the ticket agency the next day - think it was Italian - confirmed !

Was hyper for the 6 or so weeks after boavista win and nervous as fk with Every round before it. Gave 4 to my pals and gifted one to the bus.

6 nights from the Monday in a city centre hotel with a rooftop pool which was ankle deep due to the cargoe lining the bottom of the pool !

A few boys we met crashed our room as folk were sleeping in every street. In ground four hours afore ko and sweltered. Proudest moment following Celtic as the teams ran out and filed either side of the trophy onto the pitch. I remember thinking I just want us to score to see the amazing support celebrate.

Gutted we lost and then won fook all in scotland but still my favourite season following Celtic - easy.
