If you can't watch football with no noise then you're not a fan of football, you're a fan of "atmosphere"

stupid comment

not really, there is some truth in that. i've watched many games over the years that seemed to have no fans anyway.

Maybe you're a fan of the whole package, and a diluted product isn't for you? Like someone said, it's a bit like alcohol free lager. You've get the same taste but no buzz.
I watch probably 80% of my football inside stadiums so it matters a big deal to me as I know exactly how important the role of a crowd can have at key moments.
Whilst I've no problem whatsoever with football being played at the moment, it absolutely isn't for me. I got hooked on going to football as a kid due to the pull ofnthe crowd and the tribalism of it all. I still get that knot in my stomach as the roar goes up at the first whistle. Take that away and it's not the game I fell in love with, more of an exhibition or a friendly, and I only go to those for the p-ss up. I'm happy to just wait it out til I can get back in my seat.

fair enough champers but i am so looking forward to this. like don said of course its better with fans but since there are none it will have to do.
