You have to feel sorry for Pool, this was meant to be theirs (and VAR`s) big moment, but the shine has been completely taken off it.

Whatever happens, the season has been tarnished and will have a huge caveat hanging over it`s authenticity forever.

This season will go down in history as nothing short of a faux championship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VAR has not helped Liverpool win this league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do me a favour, there would still be a title race if the officials did their jobs properly and without bias. Man Utd would also be in the bottom half of the table.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense. While I do feel Liverpool have gotten the rub of the green at times this season they are not where they are because of officials.

Also name a time VAR has helped United incorrectly. Yes we’ve had more pens than anyone but pretty much all of them have been stone wall.

Transfer stories are just that, stories. Press hear stuff and report on it, could be multiple different links in the transfer chain that leak stuff for whatever reason.

I only really listen to Paul Joyce, Mel Ready or James Pearse for Liverpool transfers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For some time now, I only listen when I see the new player in a Red shirt, at Anfield, Jürgen next to him, the obligatory witnessing of him signing a paper.

Then, and not before, he’s ours.

VAR allowed United's goal against Liverpool stand after Mane was fouled. Admittedly I'm biased, and it was a subjective call by the ref so I dunno if this will count.

Also, im not sure whether it is fair to blame VAR on thos one or not. The ref decided no foul so and VAR just agreed.

This is partly why I didn't get too bothered by the Firmino armpit offside. The terminology made sense to me since if your armpit is offside then your shoulder is offside because it extends beyond the armpit. Similar to the United goal (and despite all the VAR critics claiming itnwould have never been given pre-VAR) the linesman flagged immediately anyway. So without VAR it wouldn't have stood.

According to ESPN, Liverpool would have been in 80 points and 18 clear without VAR. Sounds like a very competitive title race. Also United would be 10th which isn't bottom half.

Right on OP. I'd even argue that this probably the most balanced/complete side this league has ever seen, front to back. Not just pretty football that lacks physicality or aggression. We can mix it with the hardest of teams and outplay the silkiest of teams. People just want to wum and it's okay. Most Utd fans have been quite complimentary and objective in their views of this side that Klopp has built.

Pretty much all Utd fans on here have been fair tbh. Its a few Spurs fans and City fans from what i've seen struggling to come to terms, funnily enough.

He did say pretty much all of them

Take those bags of potatoes off your shoulders Billy and join in the celebration that is LFC’s greatness. You might enjoy yourself instead of all this bitterness.

there's only two posters in my opinion that are way over the top in their assessment of most thing football.
billy and walh. both have agendas against liverpool and their arguments are just boring. i guess you could trow sandy in there but i'm not sure he really means it.
saying liverpool are unworthy champions is like saying trump is a caring, humane diplomatic leader.

They're both d!ckheads. Wahl aint so bad in a teenage girl cheap magazine kind of way but Billy is actually mental. Not only does he talk utter sh!t, repeatedly, he also genuinely believes that there has long been a conspiracy by the FA and it's staff to help Liverpool.

Liverpool being a club that havent won the league in three decades.

Just think about that for a second

So basically if VAR didn't correct incorrect decisions, Liverpool would be 7 points worse of. It appears Liverpool are winning the league in spite of VAR.

In fact of the top ten teams, only United and Spurs have gained a position, due to VAR.

Apparently so. Maybe Billy just thinks that being 18 points clear means there is a title race on but if your leas hits 19 then it's all over...

Not only that we’ve only gained 2 points from VAR from that article with the points City have lost bringing it down to an 18 point lead

Billy is crying about us gaining two points

posted on 25/5/20

18 point lead really opens up the title race for the top6.
