I've had the odd beer when cutting the grass or a couple of cocktails with the mrs.
tbh I find it quite cringe when I see people acting like they are mad lockdown alcoholics
people with kids in the house bragging about being phished every night, good for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep
I had a word with Master Ginger 2 about that
I have a drink or two at times and certainly not just on weekends but I genuinely don't know when I was last pashed in my house. I do not drink anywhere near enough when at home to get to that state. A nice sociable drink as we watch TV or a film.
I have taken to drinking red lately. I was never a wine drinker but have enjoyed a glass of red while doing a family quiz or what not
Canada...Ontario, restrictions easing .Got to spend Sunday with family. Lunch in the garden with Son and family, Dinner with Daughter and family. Inbetween, lined up for hardware store, bought doors for cupboards and then home. Nice to see the grandchildren
Nottingham...I remember that being the town where females outnumber males by something ridiculous like 4:1 Happy dayz
Wealth:, Daughter and family much better off due to working from home, not paying daycare etc. Son and family, about the same as he is on brew money equivalent.
Drinking in the house....no change for us, wine every night and sometimes a G&T first
Oh, and the weather has improved...from snow just over two weeks ago we now have a heat warning in effect as daytime temps will be over 37c for the next three days

Not sure about now Ginger but Nottingham back in my heyday was a fooking dump and rough as fook (the town that is no idea about the Uni).
We have been very lucky so far with the financial side of this but I have mates who are seriously fooked, one is a tattoo artist and he is on the grand sum of £342.17 a month on UC, another is a Chiropodist and he could easily in his job work safe as you like but again he is not allowed to and is getting even less on UC for some reason, have offered to help out with money but they are proud men and wont take a penny even as a loan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lex, you'd think.
One of the big issues within her family was her 90yo old dear kept talking about the chiropodist. They all told her it was off until one day she announces she'd been. Now I get that old people need their feet seen to and I get that the social distance is almost 2m but it turned out the p*ick had been calling all his old person clients telling them it was business as usual and badgering them to go.
I kept out it but the cant should be reported. Old people FFS. No PPE, just a mask. They are part of the problem too.
I enjoy 3 or 4 beers with my headphones on listening to some music. Probably do that twice a month on average. I couldn't be doing with getting drunk at home.

Not this year..water levels were sensibly reduced in lakes in the fall which helped prevent flooding.
I've not touched a beer for 2 months now
I've been opening a bottle or 2 of wine every week and having a glass or 2 a night
had a few gins and a few Aperol Spritz but thats been it really

here we have them before during and after dinner
I've been opening a bottle or 2 of wine every week and having a glass or 2 a night

I've left this particular bottle to rest and mature in the freezer as it takes away the stomach churning after taste
Anyone else now picturing Ghod as one of the old camp guys from Chewin the Fat?
Oh the banter
Is there anything better than being on holiday in Spain and the last folk in your villa have turned the fridge right up to max so that the Spanish full fat coke separates, the ice is clear and you pour out what is left - pure caffeinated, carmelised syrup that burns your throat on the way down and tastes brilliant!

We have never been better off tbf, hate being a pwick saying that but we have managed to put a fair old chunk away each week, there is fook all to spend it onand I have bought some amount of useless schite to boot
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same here.
And the gap will get wider between those who can through this relatively unscathed and those who can't
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a sobering thought when you realise how much you were spending every month on drink and genetal socialising. Tbh, I've been out every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for years. That's more than £100 A week on taxis and trains alone. Mental.
I couldn't give a feck if the pubs and restaurants never re-open. We don't need them. Just need to get used to house parties again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Genetal socialising? Yes that can be quite expensive.

I live on Nun's Island. Champlain bridge crosses the north end and the bus takes about 10 mins to get to
Eurotrash Centrale.
So glad that schite is cancelled this year.
