Not fussed about watching anybody but Utd to be honest. I just hope we start well. Will be strange to watch a game being played in an empty stadium. Can’t say I’m excited about it.
Maybe I’ve just come to the conclusion that football just isn’t that important to me.
I might have the enthusiasm back for it once it restarts properly as it used to be.

I watched Dortmund v Bayern the other night. It was a decent enough game but wasn't the same without fans. If it has to be this way though to get the season finished so be it.

When it it expected to finish?

I thought they were gonna schedule us vs Spurs first.

They want to get the games in hand out of the way first in case they have to stop the season again.

Maybe they've scheduled the two 'game in hand' ones first so that if they have to call off the season they can do so a bit more legitimately perhaps?

What’s gonna happen with the CL and Europa matches too? And when is next season gonna start?

I suppose they can use the game in hand ones to monitor how people watch the matches and whether people will congregate somewhere. It wouldn't be impossible to get quite a crowd watching a game in someone's back garden.

I think that's exactly why they've done it. Makes sure everyone is on an even keel. Looking forward to our derby now, should be a corker. I reckon we'd have lost if we had played it before lockdown. Now we can focus on maintaining our 15 year record of not being beaten.

Nice of them to put city at home first so viewer's can watch an empty ground they're familiar with.

August - finish European comps.

You’d think there would be for a transfer window to happen and new players and systems to be implemented etc

Wonder if the players will get a rest before the new season starts, but then again they’ve had 3 months off when the PL starts again.

Be weird watching pre season standard football at that stage of the season

It would make sense. Though I don’t know who they’d schedule this if the European competitions are going to be completed after the domestic season.

There should be a Covid Shield at an empty Wembley.

Covid Shield.

picture the scene:
last minute corner with corner taking team needs the goal to avoid relegation. The manager passes last minute instruction to his team. As corner is taken attcking player sneezes clearing the penalty box of defenders.
Leads to an easy tap in and attacking team staying in EPL.

No, you feel they want to get this season out of the way ASAP.

I guess some teams may use this as their pre-season if they don't have much to play for with around 4/5 games left.

It's not ideal at all really but there's probably no other way either.
