I could be wrong here but rumour has it the Prem have already said there will be 3 ups and 3 downs!..

So, unless they've a Trump working with them that's what'll more than likely happen!..

It's clear that there will be promotion and relegation. The plan to get the games in hand out of the way first is a clear indicator of this.

I would stick my neck out and say the only way Leeds won't be promoted is if the season resumes, they get caught by two teams and finish third and also lose in the playoffs.

It's not the easing of restrictions that's the problem, it's people's attitudes. Too many idiots in our population who think this is over and are not socially distancing in shops or street anymore, throwing parties etc. We can't even get people to wear masks in public. Lots need to realise that life shouldn't just immediately go back to normal, we get freedom back but still need to be careful.

I agree Scunner it's a risk that season will be stopped again but the more games completed, the even better the argument for promotion and relegation. The argument for promoting Leeds and West Brom (7 and 6 points clear) and relegating Norwich (7 points adrift) is already very strong, add 3 more games to that and it's stronger.

The problem is what to do about the 3rd promotion spot and how can you fairly relegate 2 more teams from the PL when it's so close as it stands. As much as I don't like how the teams at the bottom of PL have gone about this, it would be very unfair to relegate Villa or Bournemouth as it stands.

80.43% of the season done. Any extra games played only adds strength for them to use PPG.

Remember playing in amateur games where if the game was abandoned after something like 65 mins the match result at the time stood. That’s 72%.

Love all your positivity guys

If after all this, games are played and Leeds lose out, than we deserve to be relegated!.

I still don't know anyone who's died of corona virus or even had it, the nightingale they build in harrogate is sat un-unsed. i know of 3 people who died from not getting hospital for non covid related treatment including a 10 month old baby.

I think it's time everyone went back to work now, expect people who are really vunerable. Less than 1% mortality rate and 80% of those had at least TWO underlying issues, one of them usually overweight.

It's getting to the point now, where more harm will be done by staying at home letting the economy go to sheite and getting into debt.

If empty grounds get the season finished then so be it, all these footy players are low risk. Hopefully we'll see it finished before end of Aug.

Not gonna happen this time. I'll stick my neck out yet again and say welcome to the Premier League Leeds United. The league will be stronger for it IMO.

Wetherby are you serious?

Spot on Wetherby.

Just for balance Wetherby (and much of what you say about hospital avoidance and the economy is right) I've had two friends who had Covid-19, but weren't hospitalised. Was like a bad cold for them with horrible hacking cough. Both have now recovered just fine on their own.

My missus' sister (just 5 minutes away) had her neighbour two doors down who died two weeks ago with Covid.

My cousin contracted Covid (he's a postman) and was in ICU with it, but not on a ventilator. He was 2 weeks in there before he got home. He's still weak, but is getting back to normal slowly.

Here in Wrexham, we've still not passed a peak of deaths (last reported weekly figure was higher than previous) and there's been 41 deaths in total in the district.

Yes, there's reason not to panic about Covid (especially if you're younger than 30) but for some it's a game changer or the end. It shouldn't be trivialised or reduced to some low percentage to make it seem unworthy of caution.

By the way, the case fatality rate (you state that it's around 1%) is the number of confirmed deaths divided by the number of confirmed cases of Covid 19.

This is currently running at roughly 14% in the UK:

The data is wrong, as the actually cases are much higher. The reality is It’s well below 1%. Flattening the peak was the correct thing to do however.

Firstly the FA have insisted that relegation happens and they own a veto share.

Secondly I agree with Wetherby. We need to get back to work now and unlock the nation.

Yes it’s risky but the risk is low compared to where we were two months ago. People with sense know how to act and stay as safe as possible. Only a few, mostly young idiots are doing their best to spoil things.

Life has changed but we can and must adapt or more will die from other illnesses.

Over here you're allowed to go to more pubs as from today,(they had opened sports bars and places to see sports when the football started!)but now opening more but you have to stay outside!..

Weather at this moment helping lots!..

Tuesday they're making it so you can sit inside, distance rules apply, so, fines will be imposed to all breaking rules and places will be shut down if rules are broken!..

They're even opening Boarders up around Europe now!..

Some Swimming Baths are even being allowed to open!..

Second peak is forecast and is much more likely if you open things up to quickly. You're talking like we've got this thing under control.

I agree with Stoopo and Wetherby and I say that as someone classed as vulnerable. very difficult really. I would also say worth getting lots of perspectives.worth a listen to different opinions on other media forms that get silenced to hear all perspectives. truth probably somewhere in between.

I agree that there are far more cases of C-19 than are recorded as many don't exhibit symptoms or just have a "bad cold".

I just don't understand how you come to your "1%" figure as surely there isn't a figure for overall cases if you're using 'unrecorded' cases as your baseline?

Also (as I hear from a friend on the front line in the main hospital here) there were a considerable number of deaths in there which were likely Covid related, but not recorded as such as they didn't follow through with testing as the patient was obviously not going to survive anyway.

This was more true back in late March, early April. Less so now I understand.

My Doc says for my age I'm as fit as people 20yrs younger, but I'm classed in the High Risk category!..

Reason being I'm in my 60s and I've had Diabetes since 1985!..

I go out every day and I don't wear a mask when on the street, wear one when shopping or to the Doc or wherever I have to wear them!..

Out regular with my dog, 4-5 times daily, meet people all the time with dogs but none have masks on, its a simple case of keeping the right distance and being outside, normal breathing isn't going to get anyone!..

If people go about coughing, sneezing or spitting at each other then that's a different matter, its the keeping apart that helps!..

Anyone that's scared should wear a mask, but the everyday hygiene that is ordered should also be taken very seriously!..
