??? NDombele has been a Joke and Dele has been shlt for the past 18 months..... both have a lot to prove
Dele was very good in December; and Ndombele has shown in some games of his talent (Norwich, Liverpool, Aston Villa second half).
Quit with the hyperbole, it ruins credibility.

No Hyperbole mate.... You argument is based on a month for Dele and a couple of good games (at best) for a 60mln pound record signing
Dele is fine. But I'm sorry Melt, but Ndombele has been a dissapointment. One or two decent games does not stand up to the amount of poor games. His lack of effort and fitness is not acceptable.
We are a club that should be looking to win things. Ndombele is exactly the personality we do NOT need.
If course, he is no Dembele but the issue is he is not good enough for us. Our midfield is appalling really.
I would be surprised if Spurs don`t win most, if not all, of their remaining fixtures, with a fully fit squad back.

Sandy, no chance.
My point is that given the opportunity though, they will deliver. They are undoubtedly quality players but Ndombele will struggle to succeed if Mourinho acts and treats him as poorly as he did before; and Dele will struggle if he gets played every minute but never in a preferred position.
Both get solid game time in their preferred positions and we will see two players performing well.

I have to admit.... I'm quietly confident. I don't always love Jose's tactics but I think this squad while not being deep enough for the long haul can deliver more than they have this season. If Jose has some time to get his methods across, get the defense better organized and with our best players fit he defo has a chance of getting top 4
The first game vs United is HUGE, win that and we could really get on a roll, lose it & I'll start to wonder if the point gap, lack of atmosphere with no crowd might just deflate us after a long & disrupted season... so hard to know

I know I am being fickle here but I genuinely don't believe we can afford to carry Ndombele whilst he prances about not putting effort in. I get that players need time to embed, but when they are not working hard enough then, for me, that's it. Id rather Skipp than Ndombele.
Dele is fine. yea he frustrates but he is the type of player who will try the extraordinary and often it wont come off but then when it does its superb. He needs players around him to allow him to do these things.

I agree. Lose to United and it's a gap of 7 points between them and Chelsea. I would expect that to be fatal at this stage.
I don’t think Ndombele ‘doesn’t put the effort in’ in fact I rarely think footballers do unless your name is BAE. I think he has struggled with fitness and injuries, the latter exasperating his fitness issues.

Ok, lets agree that he is lacking in fitness?
Id argue, that is part way down to him not putting effort in considering how long he has been at the club.
Seeing him live, he has talent on the ball, but off the ball he doesn't track back properly, doesn't close down etc. Its just not good enough.
PS, I liked BAE

Yeah it should be good, relegation scrap should be good too would love the pikeys and villa to go down.
Beginning of the season Ndombele fitness was okay in fact he played 90 mins in both the villa win and city draw where he was great.
He then missed a few weeks with a injury and never looked the same again as kept picking up more injuries after.
He’s definitely shown his ability but I think some people pigeon holed him as a enforcer type player when he’s a play maker.
He now has to show us consistently over the period of the rest of the season he can manage to play game after game.
Dele is fine
More looking forward to seeing the return of Son more than anyone else. For me he is more important than Kane and more reliable in terms of keeping fit. Can't wait to see both of them back in the team.
As for Ndombele, the first three games will be telling to see if he has bucked up his ideas and starts to fulfill the talent he has. Would love to aee him dominate the man utd midfield if that is going to be our first fixture.

I don’t think his fitness issues are to do with lack of effort though; I think it is a whole host of reasons. I also think if we invest the time and effort into him then I’m sure he will reach his potential.

Er no I wasn`t. I have said I am not personally interested in watching football behind closed doors. That however does not mean I am not still interested in chatting about football. And I have always maintained that Spurs with a fully fit squad, which rarely happens, are an absolute match for any team in the Prem.
