This test team we have is impressively crap, it should be said.

I've not managed to catch any of the action today. Has it been a case of Archer and Wood haven't been on the money so we should have gone with Broad over one of them?

Another wicket for Stokes, Dowrich gone.

They haven't been bad but wouldn't say they've been threatening either. I don't think it's a pitch where pace is doing much

Archer and Woods both wicketless after 20odd overs each days a lot. This isn’t IPL, pace isn’t the be all and end all

ALL OUT

I love how we bowl all day and the pitch looks flat as a pancake.

Then when we get in at the end it looks like a minefield

A good day for WI who ended it 99 runs ahead. At least the England openers survived.

For now!

Over the last 5 yeas England have not comeback to win a game with such a huge deficit on first innings.
Something they don't do.

Just seen Broads reaction to being dropped and hes extremely irate and that's 100% understandable.. there was no need to do it. Hes been our best bowler for a very long time. Its bizarre to say the least

Think we beat Pakistan in a test in 2016 with a 100 run first innings deficit

But I get your point

Always easier dropping a bowler, they said they’re picking bowlers entirely on conditions/track. Well that went well

To me they picked Wood on his giggly lets have it, personality. The man that writes blogs for the BBC. while hardly ever producing anything of note.
They picked him over a world class bowler.. Which is down right daft.. But this is England.

Has you can tell Am very cynical in the England set up. Have been since Cook took over captaincy and onto Root. We have had some good series wins in that time.
Apart from Broad and Anderson. I find the rest of them to be little puzzies and play like it.
While having the attitude they are great.. When in reality their records as players don't stand up to it.

Think with hindsight obviously they should’ve picked Broad, it’s always easier to say that after you see what’s happened. Not sure how many people were that bothered about it before a ball was bowled. But they’ve obviously made the wrong call, expect them to sort it out in the next two tests.

Yep, Anderson walks straight back in though, when Broad was performing well during his absence. A mind boggling decision it makes you wonder what their motives were.

Being hyper critical could’ve picked Woakes over Archer is well.

Agree with this. I would have picked Broad but we have good seamers and whoever was picked should have been good enough.

The batsman failing has made this look a bigger issue than it should have been. Picking Broad wouldn't have stopped us getting 200 all out. Hopefully they can do better second time out and give the bowlers a chance.
