Few weeks ago the nation was on a be kind drive. Funny how things change so fast.
No one should feel priveledge based on the colour of their skin. Fact is whites/blacks/mexicans/Koreans and plenty others receive it daily.
We can shine a spotlight on individual cases but prejudice will always exist sadly. In the UK it's more classism but only time will change things. Multiculturalism and standing as a collective.
All we can do is to make Britain the most integrated it can be and hope others follow suit.
There are blacks being overlooked for jobs in USA I'm sure for their white counterparts, visa versa in South Africa, Koreans that cannot even learn their own language in Japan, Mouris in new Zealand and we won't even go into the huge rivalries in Africa and South America between countries or builders in Qatar.
People say BLM or Mexican life's matter/ white life's matter but the sad truth is african/white/mexican/asian don't even get along amongst themselves!
All we can do is hold people accountable against minorities and be kind. If u preach that then change can happen.
What worries me is the far right racists and the black power anti white racists will probably use this to fuel more division before things heal.
I gen think the forum can do with football coming back asap though as it's just become an ego fest for people shouting so called 'truths' over each other. When people reading your post are the ones applying the tone it can be kinda dangerous, esp on such sensitive issues

You need to be specific and give examples. We're in the social media era so media has less effect compared to years ago. For example the current protest is primarily being organised and motivated through social media. People are able to obtain direct info (factual and non-factual, good and bad, harmful and non-harmful) using the internet.
Sad thing is it has nothing to do with racisim and all about heavy handed tactics from the police.
The media have spun it into racisim when the issue is police brutality.
