Celtic SLO said Celtic will release details of how it will work by the end of the week.

Season ticket holders will not be expected to pay anything extra but instead receive a code for Celtic TV for the games.

Hang on

So we buy the season ticket and we get to watch it on tv? Meanwhile they save on practically everything match day?

I hope it's a far better deal than that.

FFS mate, the amount you are paying you should have your own 'relationship manager' much like private banking?

Mind you, haven't spoken to mine in about 10 years. Cants keep trying to sell me products I neither need nor want. Ask them difficult questions you already know the answers to and they are prepared to lie to make a sale. Cvnts.

I expect a refund to a point for all games that we get over the TV. Celtic SLO has been excellent on Twitter keeping fans up to date with what he knows. He has said that he expects details on that to come out soon.

i dont mind lawwell i just think the fans are taken for mugs sometimes.

i'm not payin 540 for a season ticket for a celtic tv login.

If anybody is asked to have season ticket, a Sky subscription plus buy a 'virtual season ticket' on top it would be pretty steep. But I suppose it might not happen.

Celtic SLO have clarified that season ticket holders do not need to buy a separate virtual pass.

Details TBC on refund for not being at the game

1.5 million charge for finishing the season early don't think BT will be that forgiving reckon they will want the full whack.

Its a great opportunity to try this sort of thing. Would love the option to buy a virtual season ticket without the need of a VPN in the future.

I just can't see though the demand being there for a Hamilton or st Johnstone season ticket covering the cost of filming the games

I think there might well be for the smaller clubs from big towns. St Mirren for example have a lot of fans who don't go to the games with the cost of the ticket, travel, parking food etc but may well be tempted to pay less for a virtual one which means more money to the club that they would have got anyway

but it may reduce physical season ticket sales

posted on 3/6/20

Ah wait it's not sky doing the season ticket they are just essentially giving permission to sell rtv Celtic TV etc to UK based people for 1 season.

Cool, means I don't need to faff with the VPN.

I can see rangers and Celtic after this 5 year deal wanting to do something like that going forward though

Message from Club 1872:
Rangers will update supporters in due course on a number of topics of interest but we are in a position to confirm that season ticket holders will be granted complimentary access to all home games streamed via RTV as a result of those matches being played behind closed doors.

I imagine someone will stream the game somewhere as happens now with Rangers/Celtic TV n such

this could kill actual attendance (when it returns) certainly through winter though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't buy that. It's already easy enough to watch rtv in the UK and it doesn't affect attendance.

Going to the football is a bigger experience overall and I don't see people not doing that because the game is on TV. Only exception might be mid week cup games when it's -20 but that's ok

Important SPFL streaming footnote: numbers will be capped at the level of season ticket holders clubs had in 2019/20.

Some credit to the SPFL for brokering a solution to a tricky problem. Well done.
