There’s no reason we can’t play them both together and then one of McT, Fred or Matic just deeper.

I’m one of Pogbas biggest critics, but he was fantastic when he came on, and Bruno our best player in the match.

Shouldn’t be a problem for me playing them both. I think Bruno’s arrival will help Pogba shine if anything.

I think his plan is to play both together.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that they were in the same training group and started the friendly together.

I think both will start together as soon as Tuesday.

anyways to the ops point, it's not about "growing a pair"

you do realise Pogba's come back from a long term layoff, same with rashford

we should be grateful no injuries were picked up unlike the arsenal-city game

i'd imagine it will be another cautious line up against sheffield united

rotation and easing players back is good management

tbh after 3 months rest everyone is pretty much at similar match fitness.

It makes sense to be cautious in the first game but like op said he needs to go all out in the next 8 games

I agree, we only need one player in the DM role, especially as our full backs are defensive.

I'm sure the whole idea is to play Pogs and Bruno together anyway.

Playing Fred and McTominay when we dominate possession is a waste.

I’m loathe to see Matic and Maguire in the same team, but if Pogba isn’t playing we need Matic on the pitch to help break the lines.

So make use of the 5 permitted subs. Since it's our very first game, I can accept why he didn't start Pogba but if he continues to bench one of the Pogba/Fernandes, then its clearly Ole's mentality.

Plus, every player on the pitch hasn't played football in 2 months, so the fact these players are coming back form long term injuries isn't as big of a deal. Kane, Son and Rashford all played 90 mins today (albeit all three were terrible tonight)

tbh after 3 months rest everyone is pretty much at similar match fitness.

i'd agree but players with serious injuries need to be eased back in. otherwise you start picking up little niggly injuries
