It’s too soon to compare but I see some similarities.

Some will laugh at but it’s easy to forget Klopp scraped top 4 in both of his first two full seasons.

He is doing a fine job of resetting the squad for me. I said early on that he might end up leaving United having not won anything, but still having done a good job in rebuilding the squad and leaving it in good shape for the next man. Hopefully he can win some trophies too though!

Yup.

Its been a slog and a lot of chit in between but hes reset not only the squad but the way the club are doing things.

Im definitely positive for the future even if Ole does leave.

Our squad was miles behind what yours is now. And the money wasn't there like it is for you.

Don't agree with either of those viewpoints

so our squad was as good as yours now? Lovren was first choice. Klavan was third choice CB. Karius or mingolet in goal. Milner at LB. Clyne had most apps - is he better than AWB? Lallana played a big part that season - better than your midfielders?
Firmino and Mane yes - but beyond that a 21 year old Origi and a crocked Sturridge.
And also Wij Mane and Matip were all bought by Klopp so we were even worse before. When you look at the players Ole inherited they are vastly beyond what Klopp did overall

i think Leicester are going to drop out of top 4, noticed you have them last day of the season aswell

Me either. Klopp took over a team with the likes of Firmino, Coutinho, Milner and Henderson and has spent huge money since.

Wasn’t like he took over a bunch of relegation fodder.

Better than Perreira or Lingard, yes
We had calamity Jones.
Lukaku, did you bid for him.

The Burnley game (incidentally the last game I went to) certainly feels like a very long time ago - and not just because of lockdown

Indeed, rather than paying dollar every few months for vanity managers we invested in players. What’s not to like ?

Did you realise you’ve only stopped paying for the specially chosen one Moyes in the last 3 months. LVG and JM still to go. Hilarious. Seriously hilarious.

That is a broad assumption, Man are an funding vehicle for a US real estate business. A significantly impacted industry vertical this year. The Glazers have consistently squeezed huge profits out of the club to help fund their shopping malls and business parks, it will only increase in the next 12-18 months. Couple that with the sponsor financial impact of a failure to get CL again, which is a possibility.
Ole will be under huge pressure, if he falls short (on targets key to financials) he’ll be gone.

In the meantime a unusually good performance against a poor Sheffield and suddenly it’s all roses.. 🙄

Get Sancho and Grealish, Avoid the Europa League, And we might challenge for the league next season.

Sancho straight into RW

If Villa get relegated and Grealish becomes a cheap(er) signing, could be a good bench option - cover for Pogba/Bruno. No reason for us to buy him if he isn't cheap, since he doesn't get into the starting XI (IMO)
