He’s previously had him more in the positions Sterling and Mahrez play and maintaining the width until he received the ball. Now, even when he replaces one of those, he plays inside their positions more often and has more licence to drop deeper and more centrally to be a bigger part of the transition. He’s also had a few directly in the Silva position.
He’s not just the last pass provider now essentially, he’s the pass before the last pass, which has always been where Silva has been brilliant.

Probably boosts his chances of nailing down an england spot, i think he'd take the competition from barkley/ox/RLC more than that from sterling/sancho/maddison etc.

Absolutely. Like always with national teams, it’s about knitting the different club styles together to create something that works for all of them. The great thing with a few we’ve got right now is their versatility with that.

Only if Southgate is stupid would he play Trippier over TAA now. TAA is like the closest we've had to Beckham for crossing and set piece delivery. We could always use him more as a wing back with a 3 at the back.
RLC, Barkley, Ox, Alli, Maddison, Mount and maybe Grealish will all be competing for a spot with Foden.
Rice and Henderson are the only midfielders that look nailed on right now for a spot in the squad.

Sadly I think it’ll be too soon for James Garner to step up and take the England captaincy.
I would play a back three of Walker, Gomez and Maguire for England. This gives Trent licence to go forward without worrying about the defensive side.
Wouldn’t be needed, we look more threatening in attack now we’ve got good wide men. If we can get an attacking mid to click with the forwards, as well as having the threat of TAA from full back, we’ll be a big threat to any team.
It's pretty obvious David Silva has influenced the lad judging by his style of play. Next season he will be his direct replacement I'm pretty sure.
Based on the above I think he will remain there for a few years. IF City's ban is upheld then he could have a couple of winner's medals with a free run at the Prem without CL football.
I think wherever he ends up, be it City or anywhere else he will be an above very good player.
I bet Trent doesn’t start for England.
Which would be a travesty but i think Southgate will have walker and Trippier ahead of him.

Yep, this could probably be said for everyone that's still there but Klopp's arrival was transformational for Henderson.
As for Foden, I completely agree with the OP. It's really difficult to tell just how good he's going to be because we simply haven't seen enough of him (or I haven't anyway) but whenever I do see him then it's pretty obvious there's a hell of a player there. He seems to play with a real determination and (slight) aggression as well; I hope that remains as he becomes a regular as opposed to someone desperate to make an impression.
