I woukd be surprised and disappointed if the largest sports retail outlet in the UK were not selling merchandise

Aye right. Most Rangers fans dont want Ashley selling anything ever again.

I'm guessing there's thousands trying to read the statement as the page won't load 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wait until the rangers fans try to see it, it'll be worse

I wish you were a Tim

I’m as much as I don’t think SD have any exclusivity, that statement in no way clarified that and in fact makes it look even more dodgy.
Couldn’t have been fudged any more even if deliberate.
Rangers really need to work on their PR
I won't believe any of this until Heed confirms it on Friday.

What if Ashley done a deal with King, Rangers have to swallow a bit of Mikeys manfat and we all move on?
Reads like Castore have the control over contractual aspects of where it’s sold
Same as NIKE or any other brand
Would in not be unusual for a football club to have a contract with outlets directly ?

Can't view it Duke. Celtic just did the same with JD sports surely?

My reading of it(i'm not a lawyer)is they will sell through multiple retailers and will not ban SD(why would they)
Not sure the market up here will shift many through their stores but i'd think English stores may shift a few.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could easily be the case and is the most likely.
So why not just say that and clear out any ambiguity because that statement raises more questions than answers. It’s pants.

Still hope the fat coont chokes on his breakfast.

Not sure their is normally any contractual relationships between clubs and outlets
Brands supply people like JD SD with loads of stuff all day everyday
Celtic sign up with addidas do they really tell a brand how and where to sell the gear
That would be !like addidas telling Celtic what tactics to play
Celtic are good at football tactics
Addidas are good at selling sportswear

There was a post on another forum from someone with contacts in the club, who I'd tend to believe with this kind of stuff, which had less of the gumpf that was in the statement posted about half an hour beforehand.
The 'exclusiveness' is the likelihood that SportsDirect are likely going to be the only company on the highstreet selling it from August 1st.
