No. Stop reading the Daily Mail.

I think you need to separate the message of blm from the BLM organisation. It’s clear that the BLM organisation uses racism as a vehicle to push a far left political ideology. The BLM organisation is just another bunch of Marxist ideologues.

I find myself in a real quandary about this.
My instinctive reaction is: What can I do to help?
The typical response I get: Educate yourself.
So I take a look at the BLM UK website, and it says that capitalism is inherently racist and must be removed, and the police defunded.
I go: I can't back that. I guess that makes me racist. But I'll have to live with that if this is the definitions of a non-racist.
Then last weekend they popped up in favour of Palestine and confirmed who the organisers of the website really are. They're trying to smuggle their ideas in under the guise of a cause that people are far more likely to agree with, much as they did when they took over the Labour party.
And I've seen other accounts saying that this is in no way what BLM is about, including some people being interviewed on the BBC website. But I can't find anything that pins down exactly what it /is/ about, aside from stating that what happened to George Floyd is wrong and indicative of a wider problem in America and American police, which I think everyone kind of knew anyway.
But that then just puts me back to square one: If people are genuinely experiencing racism - and they are because I've listened to accounts and witnessed it - then what can I do to help?
I suspect the answer will come back: Educate yourself.

The problem with it being a disorganised idea is that it's meaning different things to different people. I've tried "educating myself" and it's only made thing more confused.

Ha ha ha you're making yourself look foolish here fella. I don't need the daily mail to access the BLM orgs own website to understand what the organisation stands for.

One of the organisation's primary aims is to dismantle capitalism, very much a Marxist ideology. The BLM organisation is now that toxic that Kier Starmer, the PL, Sky Sports, Gary Lineker are all now publicly distancing themselves from the organisation.

The fact that you haven't even acknowledged that there is a difference between the message that black lives do matter and the BLM organisation shows your veneer thin understanding. Still, ignorance is bliss.

And do I think that black lives matter? Absolutely. Do I support the BLM organisation? Absolutely not. It is possible to support the message that black lives matter whilst rejecting the the far left ideology of the BLM organisation.

To say the dismantling of modern capitalism, and indeed top down racism, is the same as Marxism is wholly incorrect and lazy.

The Mail post was a broader point relating to the article.

If you want to write silly things on the internet that's up to you.

To me the organisation and the statement are two different entities.

Black lives matter, just as much as every other life and there is nothing wrong with the statement in my opinion. It's not saying other lives don't.

The organisation BLM however, don't seem to be after equality or all.

We all need to come together to overcome racism, not segregate even more.

I think it's clear you have little to no understanding of the BLM organisation and it's far left politics. You just can't see past it's title. And that's fine, it's your prerogative to remain ignorant and see only a slogan rather than a political message.

Oh do shut up. YOU'RE talking about the BLM organisation, shouting nonsense about Marxism, not me. I'm sticking to the OP.

You're obviously very pleased with yourself and I suspect not used to criticism, perhaps knock one out in the mirror instead of acting a cvnt online?

Stay angry and ignorant.

I think from my initial post on this thread I said we need to separate the message the black lives matter from the BLM organisation, you chose not to and have embarrassed yourself.

I've not once conflated the 2, you did and now you've embarrassed yourself. From the start you've tried to play the man and not the ball, and now you've embarrassed yourself.

You then tried to argue that the BLM organisation is not Marxist, despite the co-founder admitting that it very much is:

I think 19 cleared the OP up in his first comment. Robbing ive no idea what you’re on about, either you cant see past the title as 19 says or you are incredibly naive about the org.

posted on 1/7/20

I've not chosen to do that, I've not even written about it. I What you've done is made an assumption about my thoughts and presumed that it revolves around your oh so very important words, run with it and now look daft.

As said it's pretty clear you're very pleased with yourself so I'll leave it at that.

posted on 1/7/20

To the op, it’s not asking for black power over white though is it?

If you’d said is it becoming political, then the BLM group has always been political. As others have already said, there is a difference between that and the movement though.

posted on 1/7/20

Idk robbing its how you’ve come across on this thread, very confusing. I mean the evidence is there and you’re arguing against it in support of the org?

You've misrepresented my point and tried to strawman me from the start. I made it very clear that the message of black lives matter was not the same as the BLM organisation.
