Organised religion can be horrid, because humans are often greedy and nasty little things.

However, a belief in God and having faith or a spiritual sure Is quite nice.

I hear ya, brother.

Religion is the cause for most wars, killings, fear and misery throughout the history of the world

But faith, God, that inner voice, that inspires your daily journey to express itself through acts of kindness, generosity, care, love and forgiveness towards others, and ourselves is a beautiful thing, and the very essence of what we were created for, or be at one and at peace with ourselves and the rest of the created order - it inspires us to make each day count, to be creative and to inspires ourselves and each other to make the very best of the lives we’ve all been blessed with 👍🏼

Yes, but power and money are just 2 of the tools ‘Religion’ uses abuses and craves in order to survive...along with control In order to oversee and dictate to the masses

Religion is the cause, things like power, money, control are just the tools it uses

It's the other way around. The basic teachings of religions would go against money and power.

Are, but teachings have to be backed up by actions 👍🏼

The church....or most Religions teach, love, kindness, generosity, care, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, acceptance on a daily basis

But the reality of the institution (and I’m talking about the Christian Church specifically, but it goes for most of the worlds major religions), is that it’s a ruthless, cold-hearted machine that is absolutely geared towards self survival and keeping the masses under its control - why do you think ‘sin’ is so high on its agenda? It’s to make people feel so guilty about their miserable souls, they come back the following week for the dose of redemption

Trust me, I know first hand, the Church and Religion, when you strip away the veneer, is nothing more that slow working machine, who’s top priority is survival and self indulgence - and that ultimately is expressed through power, money, control and abuse 👍🏼

I get what you're saying.

That's why i always argue that we follow church/mosque/synagogue these days but not religion. If that makes sense

If you look and search deep enough within yourself, you will find the divine - if you follow that, then I don’t think you’ll go far wrong 👍🏼

None of that has anything to do with some make believe fella but everything to do with just being a decent person. In fact religion for the most part pushes the complete opposite of that.
