Best I’ve felt about a United side

Right winger and left back are the key ones imo. Having a left back who could offer something going forward and a right winger to stretch the play would make an enormous difference to your side.

After that I’d probably go for a centre back too, like Kneerash said.

Remember when we'd all heard about coronavirus but it hadn't spread in the UK yet and it seemed abstract and no one really grappled with what a huge impact it would have on our lives? I have a nasty feeling we're in the same position in relation to the economic impact. It's going to be devastating in ways we can barely imagine. I suspect this 'pay whatever it takes' talk will seem naive when we look back on the summer of 2020.

So you think £100m for a young asset could lead to insolvency? Or that we could get him for £60m the following summer?

I don't claim to know anything to the extent that I could say how much a player is worth in current market conditions or what the implications of a large outlay would be. Just commenting from the perspective of a more general sense that I think the finances around football could be impacted far more dramatically than most seem to assume.

I'll do an article about this, as it seems quite a big question and not what this thread is about.

Look forward to it, you have some potentially valid points there.
