Agree entirely.

Thought Ayling was poor first half v luton.

Would take 4 points from next 2 games.

My memory is crap but cant remember many victories at ewood park.

Would take a point as long as we beat stoke next week.

Cant see stoke ciming to 5hithouse like luton did.

We are way short of replacements.

Not enough competition for places.

Whos banging on door to replace an out of form Phillips.

Same for Klich really.

Bench is there to not only replace injured/suspended players, but to replace those in bad form too, we can't do that. Needs to be addressed whatever league we are in next season.

Agree with LIW. We are playing pretty well but that bit of luck we had against Fulham wasn’t there against Luton.

They say it evens out so let’s hope so.

Luton just came for a point and nothing more. Packed the defence and took their one half chance (cracking goal mind).

Hopefully Blackburn will come at us more and leave gaps at the back. They still have an outside chance of the playoffs.

I love the bloke. I really do.

One thing that has frustrated me since he came is his insistance on going through the season with limited depth of quality in squad.

Changing the subject if we had been able to have attended the remaining games the one thing i was looking forward to most was seeing how Bielsa celebrated us gaining promotion at the final whistle.

Do any of you think he would have joined in with the players and done a lap of honour around the pitch.

I dont think he would have joined in but we will never know now

I don’t think we are a top 2 squad tbh

We have in White Cooper Phillips and Pablo 4 players who you would says are worldies at this level. Supplemented my good players like Ayling, Harrison and an improving Roberts.

We are where we are because of the manager:

If you look at the squad and it’s main players, all of them have been there for a period of time before Bielsa bar Casillas, Costa and Harrison (in terms of who you would call a regular and two of those have offered little)

If he left we would be fighting for play offs

Think we were poor against Cardiff. Struggled to create much going forwards.

Think we were poor first half v Fulham. Played most of the game in our half and we couldnt string two passes together.

Think we were poor first half v Luton. No tempo or aggression - seemed complacent to me. I was at the tele all first half shouting for some urgency. Could see it coming. Not getting the early goal resulted in tactical changes leaving us short at the back. That goal was so easy. 1-on-1 with a nothing special pass.

For me there have been worrying signs consistent with the back end of last season - opposition scoring easy goals from limited chances. Failure to score going forwards. Big game against a decent side in Blackburn

Whos to blame for the shocking JKA transfer?

you must be blind, we were not poor against bardiff, infact we played the best game after l/d so far should have smashed um

Agree with kebab, we've been awful. Fulham result flattered us. Lose to Blackburn and it's last season all over again.

Getting that early goal against Fulham helped, although they were on top for the rest of that half. Second half we were good but that was the only half since the restart we were really. For the rest we have looked nervous, lacking in ideas how to break down a stubborn defence, misplacing passes, missing good chances (not just Bamford by the way)

Against Cardiff we had lots of the ball (as we usually do) but very rarely troubled them and gave away 2 self inflicted goals so not sure we can say we played our best game since l/d

Keeper made one save from memory against cardiff?

posted on 2/7/20

Thought Kalvin and Tyler had really good first halves v Luton; problem was both Costa and Harrison we're both very poor.

After the break there was an improvement from Harrison but as someone on here rightly pointed out that was due to the introduction of Pablo.

Pablo was bossing the midfield but kept over hitting his passes.

To cap it all Costa and Bamford missed golden opportunities.

Kalvins corner taking was moribund to say the least.

Should have won easily but that's football and certainly that's LUFC.

Finally a world class goalie might have tipped over the goal but for me unfortunately White was more culpable and was turned inside out by Harry Cornick Jr.

I have a theory we will win the last 3 games as we will be up to speed by then, alot of players are off the boil but we could have scored 5 the other night, we will be fine

Liking your guys confidence but the fact that far far far too many teams beat us by creating 1 or 2 chances a game is very worrying. It’s not even on the odd occasion it’s been a problem for almost 12 months now.....

If we had bought a half decent striker and/or held on to Roofe, where would we be right now? We had a proven striker in Roofe. Just pay him the money and save yourself the problem of finding a replacement. He was already schooled in Bielsa-ball. How much have we squandered on Nketiah and Agustin?
Someone amongst Radz, Bielsa, Kinnear and Orta have messed this up big time. As for the wet-panty brigade who are planning our purchases for the Premier League and worrying about VAR, you obviously haven't been to the ER school of hard knocks. You suffer from delusions of grandeur and selective amnesia. And if you think the pressure is on now, wait and see what happens if we lose at Blackburn. By the way, Bielsa is not the Messiah. He is a very naughty boy.

"Bielsa celebrating the final whistle when promoted"

Id love to see him go full Jose and run the pitch with is hand raised.. I can't see it though .. reckon he'll just nod his head, hug Christiano and walk down the tunnell

as for article, hmm, get your point LIW, but it was so frustrting to watch, I couldn't see past the frustrations to ay we play well. stats show we did though.

Lowfeilds you're a proper miserable sod, you're starting to get my nerves now fella .. proper kn o b head you are

Agreed, it worries me that a team only need 1 chance a game to score against us whereas we need 70% possession and 20 attempts to score and you are right it was the same last season.

Totally this and worries me too, but I put this down to our style - that one shot is usually from a silly incident, KP passing to a Cardiff player, ball running under Kiko's foot etc.. of course from corners or crosses or whatever etc..

for me, I see it as a nicer problem to have, if we pumped 11 men behind the ball, we'd invite 20 shots at us, and prob conceed the same amount of goals.

So I can live with it now, and its not like it happens THAT often, we're top of the league after all.

and thats why when we play very well, we look ridulously awesome !! - I'd take being where we are for now

I mean, what are the odds of Bamford missing that header and then Costa doing the same thing? Do you think it was something they practiced in training to stop us getting too cocky?why the fur kan we not put this promotion race to bed instead of limping to the finish? Is Radz being paid by Sky to stretch this thing out till the last game of the season?
