VAR is indeed absolute dog sheite.

But tonight was about idiots trying to perfect the handball rule. Cretins who run the game.

VAR has killed the game - one nice thing about the lower leagues is that we don't have this ludicrous system.

Spurs disallowed goal tonight was the worse dissallowed goal I've seen

The Foden one was a joke too, Mahrez still had so much to do and Foden's hand whilst falling over made 0 impact on it

For offsides, they need to make the VAR lines slightly wider and if they overlap, say it's not offside. That way there has to be more than the length of Bamford's nose in the decision.

As for all decisions, they ought to be viewed by the ref if there's any doubt. The pitch-side VAR monitor is easily accessible and they shouldn't make a controversial decision without the ref's involvement.

I can remember thinking a few times this season that VAR would have helped us and a few times where it would have penalised us.

If the decisions are sound, VAR works. It's the 'human factor' that forks it up!

The issue with these handball goals isn't VAR. It's the changing of the rules last summer to redefine when a handball is a foul.

VAR would have meant that Mitrovic didn't play 90 minutes after elbowing someone in the jaw. That sounds like a good thing to me.

Way I see it, we've got two options.

1. We stop complaining about referees, accept they will make mistakes. That includes Sky not showing a million slow motions on offsides.

or 2. We have VAR and have rules implemented to the absolute word. The Sheff Utd goal was just a failure of the tech, it was a complete rarity.

There's a lot of hypocrisy about VAR. Pundits on TV who spent decades criticising referees and analysing fractional offsides are now complaining about VAR and saying that fractional offsides don't matter.

think VAR is needed but they just need to get it right somewhere, theres something I don't like about it, celebrations delayed etc.

just needs tweeking maybe?

in cricket and rugby it works a treat, but of course the game play of stop start helps, not quite the same in football. yet

The Sheff U goal was a big mistake from the people in charge of VAR, they are there to assist the Ref and are in contact with him at all times!..

He can call a foal, hand ball or breathing out of place if he wants, or he can say to the Ref hold up mate, I think there's something you should check yourself because I'm not to sure about it!..

The Sheff U goal was a full cockup from whoever was in charge of VAR on the night and they got it wrong!..
