Winston- I think Kane now knows he has no chance of achieving anything at Spurs so will (at least should) be looking to move in the summer.

United are clearly better than Spurs, so if it's the only option he may decide to to.

However, he's desperate to win the big trophies. Imo he wants to go somewhere where that's virtually guaranteed or City or Madrid.

The problem is he has 4 years left on his deal and levy will set a ridiculous price. Unfortunately for him he's probably here for another couple of years.

All fair points mate.

Can't see many clubs stumping up £150-200m in this climate for a 27 year old.

Wonder if Kane actually has a clause to say he can go if we do not qualify for Europe? Surely his agents have covered that off ?!?

Probably..... I thought about that last night. He must be pretty embarrassed at this point. England captain playing for a team that will end up mid table, no medals to his name and no prospects of his club doing anything of note in the near future. He must LOVE joining up with England when he gets the chance to play with the likes of Sterling, Rashford, Sancho..... I'm sure it makes him realize how far we have fallen

Edbo, I would be absolutely delighted if Kane moved on. Great goalscorer, but he is part of the problem. Been at Spurs to long, never going to win anything with him, as it stands.

I would be all for selling, and rebuilding from scratch. No player is ever bigger than our club, and Kane has had plenty of chances to prove himself in really big semi-finals, finals, and has mostly failed like the rest of the bottlers.

I really don`t care now who moves on. All I know is none of them have really been good enough, otherwise Spurs would have won something in the last five years.

You're mental, you've repeatedly claimed he's the best striker in the world.

He's barely played in any semi-finals or finals.

And last week he was talking about this team challenging for the title next season.

He`s played in a few for Spurs, and never turned up. Like in the CL final, the World Cup Semi-final, he went missing both times big time.

I like Harry, but he is now part of a collective problem. Need just to make wholesale changes and move on.

I have seen a lot better players than Kane over my 60 years of supporting Spurs, so no big deal if he goes. The money Spurs could bring in for him will help to strengthen in more than one position.

Yeh well I have since changed my mind. The whole team is a shambles from Lloris to Kane. I gave them all the benefit of the doubt, but it is obvious not one of the current players have any real hunger for success.

No offence flashy but there is no chance of that.

Top 4 will be tough as at the moment it looks likely to be us, City United and Chelsea.

Thats before you even factor in Wolves and Leicester and Arsenal, well maybe not Arsenal

He's bound to get offers this summer. Other clubs will look at the situation and know he'll be feeling like he's never going to win anything with us, especially now. Potentially no Europe as well will be a huge incentive for him to leave.

posted on 3/7/20

really bad time for spurs to try and build a better team with the sale of kane. imo there's not crazy money around at the moment where you could get 2 or 3 starters for him. add in the fact that levy is a tightwad and jose is clueless makes spurs getting back to where they were a few years ago a tough task.

Sandy literally just adopts one specific position (here: Mourinho is a good manager) and then changes his position on everything else to fit around the narrative.

The crazy thing is, he does this in order to avoid having to admit he was wrong about that one thing (backing Mourinho so vocally)... But in the process he completely contradicts every other thing he's said, which is practically the same as admitting he was wrong about those

Bloke has according to him been watching the game for 60 years but I would bet has never played the game. He doesn't understand the offside rule and like a teenager flits from one strong opinion to another.

He refuses to admit he is ever wrong and is unable to debate with anyone who dares to disagree with him.

He's an old idiot who's latest 'strong' opinion is that Jose will restore you to the team of a few years ago despite evidence from the team and almost every other fan having a completely different view point.

There's no fool like an old fool.

No club in their right mind is going to pay the £150m+ that Levy will demand for Kane. He's had injury problems and is on the decline

To be fair.... the offside rule has changed back and forth over those 60 years.
As has protection for the goalkeeper!
Used to be able to barge the keeper into the net if he was holding the ball.

posted on 3/7/20

Oh yes... and after yesterday's debacle the offside rule will probably be changed again!
