I’m okay with Dier tbh and got to remember he’s literally learning this position Atm.

I’d like to pair Toby and Dier for the next few games

Learning his position. He is about 25 now. Ain't got time for no learning.

26 and played CM most of his career

Toby signed the new contract because he knows deep down he is beyond his peak and knew he was on to a good thing when it landed in his lap.

Nothing to do with Jose being a serial winner (in the past).

The first goal shows such a lack of coaching it’s unbelievable then the second gets worse.

Here’s a tweet I just put out on the first. The picture is so damming

In fact, all over the pitch this was obvious! Lack of coaching!.

Kane ran into Moura and Son into Berwijn and sometimes into Lo Celso, and whenever Lo Celso moved forward with the ball, no movements up front at all.
Lack of coaching felt obvious! More so I guess in defense, where none of the players understood who to pick in the box, and were just standing looking at each other?

Maybe this is the modern approach to coaching? Just endless tripes in the media from Jose, and when ot come to the onfield stuff, his players who let me remind you are some of the best in the league, looked clueless!

Don, decent article, but I am more worried about our forwards, absolutely useless all of them, other than Kane, who does still score goals, although not so many. The others Moura, Son, Dele, Lamela are so tippy tappy and absolutely hopeless in front of goal. That is Spurs major problem, those players, who are supposed to be some of our best, are not nearly as good as supporters make out.

I mean when was the last decent game Son had? He scored one worldy goal this season, and has done next to nothing else. Same with Moura, scored a CL semi hat-trick then nothing since. Dele has regressed and Lamela is just Lamela runs around a lot, zero end product.

The defence is not brilliant, but that is not the part of the team that needs a major overhaul, it is from the midfield going forward that does. Lots of possession, zero end product in the final third. Any half decent side would have put that Sheffield team to bed before half-time last night.

Spurs should be up and flying from the off come next season. And will be a big, big player now that Jose is gradually starting to remould his team. Defence once again now looks set in stone. Tick. Midfield is now being rebuilt around Lo Celso. Tick. Kane and Son should be back to their absolute best. Tick. Spine of the team now looking strong again.

Son and Dele have proved their quality though. We havent been able to build up properly from midfield and defence to get the most out of our forward players.
Even when we were good we wouldnt score our first chance and would miss several good ones in a game.

One more time.................
Yesterday's starting back four has to be replaced...totally.
And keeping Vertonghen and Alderweireld on contract is not the answer.... they are both past their prime.
Young up and coming defenders like Upamecano need to be bought in (RBLeipzig & France U21).

Levy...
He'll buy another wrong Fernandes
