us who have no money to spare on paying to watch games
——————————————————-

If you genuinely can’t afford a tenner, I feel for you.

But doesn’t mean you should get it for free and illegally, whilst everyone else is chipping in 👍👍

you don't live in the real world lad

answer me this......are you telling us all, you have never ever watched a thread you never paid for?

With games coming thick and fast, many will have to decide between spending £20 per week for two games or watching it on a stream.

I say if you're still lucky enough to be working and earning enough, you should pay to support the club.

For those that need to use the streams, fill yer boots!

I wouldn't deny any Leeds fan the chance of cheering us to promotion, especially with the crap we're all facing in everyday life.

Living in NZ is not great from a fan's point of view as most live games are on in the middle of the night for me. I guess there are similar issues for fans elsewhere too. Hence the low price, to attract viewers. Even so, if it's on Sky, you can get better coverage (sorry Emma, love you , babe) on the pirate streams. Wrong? Yes, but it's our only route to Sky Sports UK.

There things I want that, that I can’t afford.

Doesn’t mean I illegally just take it

So you've never watched a streamed match LIW?

It's the criminal equivalent of someone shinning up a tree to watch the match in the 1960's.

A sense of perspective is needed here. Those who can't afford to pay to watch are not taking money out of the pockets of the club.

I agree with you to some degree - those who CAN afford to pay SHOULD. I just wouldn't stop those that can't afford a ticket from shinning up the internet tree, that's all.

Paid my £10 and I'm as happy as Larry because tomorrow I will be watching my beloved LUFC hopefully cementing their top of the league position.

If you you can't afford it due to job situation fair enough but if you can and are just being a cheap skate - cough up!.

The football the last two years has been a real treat and we have to savour it and the club needs the money.

So do you want our club to attempt to prosper in a difficult and desperate time?

Fans should not have to be responsible for helping the club out....we pay enough when we go to the ground and for sky tv when we can’t... if the clubs are in trouble there’s still no way the fans should pay anything extra

....when the players cut their wages by 10% then I’ll back LIW’s argument.

Claimed my £100 back on ST as dont want £50 shop voucher or cardboard cutout so happy to pay the tenner,

I thought this article was harsh...

I somehow missed they were showing the matches on lutv. I wondered the other day why everyone seemed to be watching it as I always thought LUFC was audio.

Anyway. Have purchased for Blackburn and will be for every non televised game from now on.

And to be clear the article wasn't harsh now I have read and understood

So before all this virus hit, there were thousands who couldn’t get a ticket to go to elland road, or they live too far away. So they pay for sky and part of that is the red button to show Midweek matches. So if a weekend match was not on sky nor tickets available to go watch... do you thinks fans should not try every way they can to watch the match?

So now the matches are not on the red button ... so only way to watch without a stream is to pay more money to LUTV.

my point is why should fans put their hands in their pockets? The players are not committing one penny towards helping their club who pay their amazing wages. If they were all paid just 5% less per year all fans could get LUTV free!!

In the original fixture list only Fulham was a midweek fixture and Sky picked that for the rearranged fixtures anyway.

It's a quid to listen to it on lutv.

So there is no excuse, if you have the internet you can afford a quid a week to listen to the games during the season.

So I'm with liw on this.

You can't afford to watch it, fine then listen to it on radio instead, if your in the bbc leeds catchment area its free.

What I’ve done has no baring, it’s not an argument.

And it doesn’t matter if it’s watching, as I explained, you can’t afford to watch, you can afford to listen, just because you can’t afford something and have to buy a different product does not mean you get to steal the product you want

posted on 4/7/20

I’d imagine with most people, it’s not affordability, it’s getting something for nothing

But what's that got to do with the argument?

nah.

we have gained many new fans this year because of Bielsa, south americans, spaniards etc who have all tuned in.

its better for the club that people pay and i think we all should try our best to, but its also good that we are attracting more attention world wide etc.

end of the day some people might not be able to afford the 10 quid stream.

i dont think a bloke in argentina who has illegally streamed 5 games and then wants to come to leeds to watch one should be punished.

but i do think that in an ideal world people who stream should go on a ticket blacklist for a while.

i mean if you live in england and cant afford to pay £10 quid for the LUTV but then can pay £40 a ticket to see a live game;something is wrong.

if you are paying for streams you should be higher in the ticket pecking order than people who are stealing it.
