Awakened Beast or Palace Disaster?

I thought this was a reference to prince Andrew going on the title...

Last chance saloon i think, hopefully Palace will feel safe and on holiday.
Just need bit of good fortune and fair officials which have sadly lacked in recent games
Should be a good three points, but few players need to stand up and be counted, especially cant rely on fair and impartial officials.

Palace pretty good away from home and play the kinda football that you don't seem to get on well against (sit deep, well organised)

I just hope the Palace players share the first touch of Prince Andrew tomorrow.

A lot will also depend on Rodgers outlook, looks like Maddison is out but Rodgers has said today we lost because of a poor decision.

If that’s his attitude expect more of the same of what we’ve been seeing.

That could be positive. If it fires them up to a sense of injustice then that's good. Although of course if it excuses lack of commitment that that's bad.

Lol, are you clutching at straws there Dunge?

Scraping the barrel here Dunge. We have no hope against a well drilled Palace side especially without Maddison. 0-2 for me. Not the team we need to play right now

If Burnley was anything to go by then we're already on the beach but i'm not too bothered tbh.
Take the points, cement that CL place and all the best

Sorry Dunge. We’re done.

Counterpoint to you all:

If Maddison is indeed unavailable, I wonder if there is the possibility to play Tielemans a little further forward behind Vardy. I’m expecting them to sit back so those little, short through balls that Tielemans has the potential to put through may be key. Although it wouldn’t surprise me if both Nacho and Perez started

I predicted 0-2 Palace before the Everton game, I saw little in that match to change my mind, especially with no Madders who at least gave some hope when he came on, although that didn't last once we were faced with a solidified Italian defence. I'd much like to be wrong though!

Dunge - I take it you'll be watching with underpants and a couple of pencils?

I'm surprised anyone has confidence in Tilly any more.

I'd have Perez behind Vardy.

Tielemans is like a rich man’s Drinkwater. He needs to be able to get on the ball in space and pick a pass.

Problem is our midfield isn’t functioning so he’s not getting time on the ball.

Perez just doesn’t influence games for me. No matter where he plays he seems passive. At least Tielemans tries to change games.

I think Tielemans is either played further forward or we don’t play him as he does seem infective in CM, often watching the game pass him by

I still think Perez could do well in the middle there, he twists and tiurns, can play off the shoulder like Vardy but in close quarters and could earn fouls.

Still, it won't happen anyway, Tilly will disappoint as he has all Season.

I must say though, I don't know why but I am quietly confident about today, it surely is the Last Chance Saloon for a CL place,3 points and nothing less is required, surely the Manager and Players know that and will produce 3 points, won't they?

No idea what he’s doing with this team!

A few possibilities. I wonder whether this is 3 at the back though:

Schmeichel
Justin, Evans, Soyuncu
Albrighton, Tielemans, Ndidi, Chilwell
Perez
Iheanacho, Vardy

posted on 4/7/20

I was thinking possibly a bit of a lob-sided 442 with Perez drifting in and whichever fullback is behind him, overlapping.

Think I’d feel scared with Justin in a 3

4-1-4-1

I’m convinced it’s a 3-4-1-2.
