The only place I've ever seen that terrible term (Westmonster) is in your posts. And you're right.
A terrible term used by silly people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I read it and hear it daily in Glasgow.
I think it's a term for when people are unhappy they haven't been given everything on a plate.
Just shout Westmonster enough and don't take any responsibility for your own failings.

So I was right?

'Here POV, here Mags...
I had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening in the pub yesterday.
Everyone well behaved and the whole thing very well managed.
There was always going to be trouble at some point yesterday and so it proved to be. Like every other weekend night in every city and every town.
Strange times when we have news crews following response units to hurtle along with the sole purpose of witnessing and filming any disturbances to gleefully report back to a hungry public desperate for news of disaster so they can sit back and point their accusatory fingers with “told you so”.
Why they don’t do that in the public interest every Friday and Saturday night in Sauchiehall Street is quite beyond me.

=====
If Glasgow city centre was filmed on weekend nights, the public would be horrified at the scenes, calls for banning alcohol etc.
Imagine they banned alcohol? There would be a revolution.

Same as.
Train to London Bridge and met friends in Borough Market. Few there then down the road to Southwark. No problems at all with everyone behaving just fine. Sure - social distancing was not overly being observed but it it what it is. You all do your own risk assessment and do what you do.
Sick of all these 'Awww it's not safe'. 'Why are they opening the pubs'. FFS - Grow a set and get on with life.
Well, if they don't open the pubs/hospitality, then you are looking at another couple of million on the dole and for what reason?
Everyone knows who are at risk - the data is pretty much crystal clear.
Bloody sheep. 'Aww am scared'. Sakes!
I don’t have a problem with people being scared as such. It’s hardly surprising with the screaming hysteria from certain quarters.
It’s the constant sniping and whining before they themselves do exactly the same thing.
Numbers are continually declining. There is risk. Manage that risk and try to at least move forward if we can. If things get worse we revert.
But the whole narrative keeps changing.
Protect the NHS so that it can cope. Done. At the cost of not treating many thousands of others.
Except a second wave. Ok
Now it’s avoid a second wave.
It’s almost piece meal trying to prevent any lifting of lockdown procedures and I believe that particularly in Scotland and Wales they would be quite happy to do so regardless of the cost.
Of course then someone else will have to pick up the bill while they go back to trying to get independence.
Expect a second wave
Even
Pubs are not the first public place I would allow people to go back to. Alcohol consumption tends to remove people's good judgement.
