Yep. Might have seemed short sighted letting him and then Sanchez go back then but now we're seeing what the manager and the coaches did.
Sorry process couldn't give a toss about him to be honest
Was glad to see the back of both him and sanchez
We were definitely right to let him go, although I was disappointed that we didn't replace him at the time. Ole has inferred in several interviews since that he was glad to get shot of him and it did seem clear he didn't want to stay at United and fight for his place
I miss Lukaku's legendary first touch. 😂
Maybe that's the secret to his success, every interaction with the ball is a shot!

Lukaku has openly said he went to OGS in March and said he didn't want to play for United.
He, imo, wouldn't have gotten that many goals here as we didn't have Bruno until the end of the January transfer window and Pogba being out for ages.

His attitude and fitness was questionable right from the start of last season
He wanted out before ole took over imo
Serie A suits Lukaku. Nice that he's doing well. And pleased that we got a decent return fee on him.
As for Sanchez, hope some deal can be worked out to let him stay away from United. And he can take his United branded dog bowls with him.
The rumours are that we are settling for a £15-18m fee with Inter for Sanchez.

Would be pleased with that.
Wonder if he'll choose to take a pay cut there?
Lukaku will always get goals although didn’t score enough for us and his all round game was not up to scratch.
Martial is a far better player than Lukaku for us.
Hindsight is a great thing but we really should have went for Aubameyang that summer instead of Lukaku.
Blame Jose! He wanted Lukaku. That's his type of CF.
One of the most underrated strikers thosndecade. It is a shame he and Conte couldn’t win any trophies this season (Serie A basically gone for them
today - and went out of semi final I think of Cup few weeks ago).
The only good thing about the Lukaku signing was that the alternative was Morata.

This is funny but also true
Cheeky 90m bid for Lukaku?
How’s Lukaku doing with scoring against the better teams?
What’s happening with Sanchez, surely Inter aren’t dumb enough to take him on permanently.

Inter have signed a lot of players over the last year. Conte is like a kid in a candy store and the owners seem happy to indulge him. So if Conte wants to keep him, they may just be stupid enough to sign him permanently
But why would he based on his loan so far?

I'm not saying it's logical. But why would you have such a ludicrously oversized squad to begin with. He's the Italian Arry Redknapp and will happily sign up anyone and everyone, given the opportunity to do so
