And it won’t even be discussed.

So Stanley Ginger says that we aren't getting in to grounds until November because Sturgeon has taken the unilateral decision to not allow it to happen because Sturgeon.

From the Edinburgh Evening News 4 days ago:

However, Nicola Sturgeon has admitted there is no date set for fans being able to return to grounds.

The First Minister addressed the issue at a media briefing following comments made by professor Jason Leitch, the Scottish Government’s national clinical director.

He had suggested that “perhaps October” after predicting it wouldn't be soon and it would be phased when it does happen.

Sturgeon told the media: “Football with crowds has not been pencilled in for October. We haven’t taken that decision yet. Jason was simply trying to find a way of saying, ‘Don’t assume it will be October when we get crowds back’.

“So do not take from this that we have given football an October provisional date for crowds being back. That’s not the case and actually I don’t think it’s a fair interpretation of what Jason actually said.”

So what Sturgeon actually said is that "no date has been set". Which apparently means she said November.

Now who’s not paying attention

She was asked by the clubs to discuss it. She went on public record and stated it wasn’t up for discussion and that to pretty much forget about fans being allowed back to football until November at the very earliest. Even then her scientist buddy gleefully followed up with some silly add on along the lines of “and I highly doubt that” with a massive grin on his coupon.

And it’s the same story from many industry leaders.

So GIRFUY.

Anyway. I’ll say no more.

But she will either change her mind in light of “new” evidence or “more” careful consideration or we will all be watching telly while everyone else gets to attend throughout Europe.

And bear in mind that they have not agreed to an August 1st start, never mind any pre season friendliest. Nothing.

So how does this work?

No season start on August 1st.

Nothing

You deserve it

We need to just open up football like normal
Social distancing at a game is baws
We’d be spaced out like human sudoku or else we’d need to pass someone to go to the toilet

Exactly.

The same Daily Record reporting that Jason Leitch held a meeting with the SPFL and SFA last week.

Which seems to me like they have held discussions.

Which Ginger says doesn't happen.

I'm confused

With the fixtures released surely now is the time for Admin to take off his purple tinted specs, move the Hearts board to the Scottish League section and move Dundee United’s board to its rightful place.

Yes we can see that.

I said that when she spoke she hadn’t even contemplated a discussion.

And that you refer to is not a discussion. It’s a communication setting out how football could get crowd back in. To “discuss” it she would have to take part.

Managing to confuse Jason Leitch with wee Nic will undoubtedly lean towards an accusation of confusion.

You sir, stand accused.

“dismissive approach”

Yep. That’s discussion right there.

“This is how we can get football fans back FM”

“Not interested. Speak to the science man. He’ll tell you it’s not happening”

“Thank you for the discussion anyway FM.”

This is Ivan’s interpretation.

Haud the bus here, are you suggesting that Sturgeon personally should be the one sitting down with leaders from every section of society to discuss their respective industries/businesses/whatever??!?

This coming just days after defending Boris for not being a 'details man' and saying he shouldn't have to have his hand in at that kind of level because he has people around him to do it for him?

ffs
