Rival watch tonight

I watched parts of the Leicester game against Palace and Palace were very poor. Can't see them doing anything against Chelsea. Chelsea should win that easy, 4-0 maybe.

I'm hoping for an Arsenal win as that will be best for us. Arsenal have improved since their defeat to Brighton. I think they'll finish above Spurs.

Need the gooners to do us a favour tonight. An Arsenal win would give us a huuuge opportunity with our fixtures and momentum.

Unfortunately, I have little to no confidence in Arsenal delivering.

Saturday was a tougher game for them. Think they’ll have enough tonight.

I think we'll be in for a tough game against Villa on Thursday, so hopefully Chelsea or Leicester drop points tonight.

Villa have been in some really close games of late and are fighting for their lives, and our good run won't last forever - we're due a slip up somewhere.

I'd be delighted with a scrappy win on Thursday and one of Chelsea or Leicester to draw or lose, I've just got a sneaky feeling things won't go as smoothly as we'd like against Villa.

I agree. Don’t see us having it all our own way on Thursday. Villa are due a result. I’d take a scrappy 1-0.

My predictions for tonight.

Palace 1/0 Chelsea 3

Arsenal 2 - Leicester 2

I think Palace are just playing for the sake of it. Chelsea will be too much for them.

I think Leicester will be up for this game and will get a few chances. Arsenal the same after their big result against Wolves and their recent run of form.

In some ways a scrappy 1-0 might even be a bigger barometer of progress than an easy win. All top teams have to get through games that are tight and scrappy, and the ones who manage it consistently tend to win trophies. On the other hand, we've been guilty of dropping points in such matches so if we did come through a couple of games like that in this run-in, we might actually learn something more telling and lasting about our progress under Ole.

I think if we score 1st it becomes like the Brighton game. They have to come out which will open more gaps.

They score and we have a tough night on our hands. We’ve yet to win this season from behind away from home.

Think Saturday was only the 2nd time all season we’ve won after trailing.

Agreed. An early goal and I'd expect us to kick on. Be interesting to see how it pans out if it's still 0-0 after 60 minutes though.

One thing we've been vastly better at during this post-lockdown run is maintaining our level for longer periods throughout the games. I put that down to simply having much more quality in the middle of the park between Pogba, Matic and Bruno. Too often we'd either start really slowly and not get going until later in the game, or we'd start quite well and then drop off a cliff in the second half.

We're looking a lot more controlled and managing games in a much more professional way. Pogba has been quietly excellent in midfield so that gives me some confidence that we could see out a scrappy or tight game against plucky opposition.

I think this was another symptom of not being able to break teams down. I think we're far better equipped presently to cope with losing an early goal. Obviously it's not something to make a habit of regardless

I think Pogba has been really good. The pressure isn't on him to do all the creative work so he's been very effectively going about his business for the good of the team.

He’s almost the supporting act to Bruno and the attackers rather than the main event now. Bit like how he is for France and was for Juventus.

Maybe it suits him best that way.

Pogba definitely looks better as just another cog in the machine, rather than being the driving influence.

Since he’s returned he’s been a cog in the machine when things have been going well but in the two games he came off the bench when he needed a goal you could argue he was the driving influence.

I'm going to take that as a positive. Happy enough to be part of the whole when the going is good but willing and able to step up when needed as well. That bodes well IMO.

Palace are unbeaten at home in London derbies apparently. But they’re on the beach, I think Chelsea will win this one.

Can see Arsenal taking something off of Leicester, though. They’ve looked a lot better since Arteta took over, especially in defence.

Been a big critic of Pogba since he joined, but his form and attitude since returning from injury have been excellent. Long may it continue.

I like Pogba and firmly disagree with anyone that wanted him out.

Not the strongest Chelsea line up. Hopefully Palace add up for it.

Perception is different of Pogba because our forwards, and Bruno, are firing. I don’t even think he’s been as good as he can be just yet, but now we aren’t desperate for him to be as we have more quality in the team. So his lower level performances are still good for the team, especially compared to Fred and McTominay, and he just looks more relaxed with this.

Even when he isn’t 10/10, his basic ability to control a ball and pass it is noticeable. Added to the fact he has any range of passing in his locker, he’s proving a good asset since his return.
