How did they wait 4 months to come to this conclusion?

This is bad news. Means Sanchez will be back.

Hard to argue with the ban really, although I have some sympathy with him.

I really wish though that some attention would be given to what many feel is some god given right to abuse players as much as they like from the stands - though how you begin to solve that, I've no idea.

I suppose a global pandemic helps!

Whats happened to Vertonghen?

And yet we regularly see leg breaking tackles and elbows going unpunished

Alright Samir

Verts has gone from bring our most reliable player circa Feb 2019 to seemingly past it now. He wasn’t quick but he seems to have lost any pace he had.

There was a game he was subbed off in, Southampton at home in the cup, where he just looked totally disconsolate when he cane off, as if he knew he wasn’t the player he was.

‘ In written reasons, FA say Dier had opportunity to go towards brother or fan after Norwich game and he went for the fan. Say 'no justification' for player leaving pitch. But lots of mitigating factors.’

Police investigation apparently

#thfc There were 127 days between the offence and the punishment but the FA decision was delayed by a police investigation and the lockdown. Dier to miss the matches vs Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle and Leicester.

I'm honestly starting to think the club has instructed all its staff to do everything possible to jepodize the season in as many ways as possible to make for the best TV viewing/ justify the Amazon money.

Would anyone be shocked if one of our players game out of the closet in the next week or if we announce next week that Kane is moving to United/ City or Madrid for a world record fee

Can't wait for this season to end...... Its been a complete shambles from the moment Poch picked Kane to start the CL final

Police investigating what exactly? An angry human that confronted someone in defence of someone else.

- Delay to case was over police not releasing spectator statement
- Dier accepted misconduct charge but rejected threatening behaviour element
- Dier asked for a non-sporting sanction
- FA suggested six-match ban but panel reduced to four. Dier can appeal

Observations from written reasons of Dier charge:

- Spectator admitted being "an idiot" and said he did not feel threatened by Dier
- Panel rejected Dier's claim he was solely protecting his brother
- Gareth Southgate provided character reference

No point appealing, the season is dead for Spurs anyway. Might as well get himself refreshed for the next season.

Panels made up of past shady characters holding briefcases, from which money is spilling?

Unfortunately for them, Levy won't give them money, so they use Spurs to set examples, and use other clubs to show they are flexible and can use discretion

Depends really.

If he appeals he’d get to play the next two and would be a help to get in Europe for next or don’t and be ready to go from next season.

posted on 8/7/20

If the appeal fails though Hengy, doesn’t the ban increase?
