Who Do They Think They Are?

Totally agree with you Bushwacker.

For some unknown and unfathomable reason, Leeds United consider themselves to be at the same level and mentioned in the same breath as the Man Utd's, Man City's, Liverpool's, Arsenal's, Chelsea's of the footballing world.

Their arrogance is unbelievable and I believe that is why they are probably the most disliked team in English football.

How they can be like that after an absence of 16 years in the topflight in amazing. Many younger football fans only know them as a second rate team.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they imploded and miss out yet again on promotion to the Premiership.

BTW, may the best team in tonight !

Probably the fans you get on forums and those who write blogs aren't all that representative of the majority. Surely they can't ALL be knuckle scrapers? Maybe one of them will surprise you Bush, by making an intelligent and insightful contribution to this thread. But I wouldn't hold your breath.

It would but I think they have done enough to get promoted, the best we can hope for is they come straight back down to where they belong in the 2nd tier

I think you may have to much for us tonight, you're the best side I've seen since the restart

If we'd have had Waghorn, Lawrence and Wisdom available I'd be a little more confident

I'm expecting a good game though and should be fairly open

I was going to put on Leeds board but decided against it

I live in hope

So, you've finally met Rob!..

Good luck with that one, he's how he is!.

Yep, can't disagree with any of this. Leeds (fans) suffer from a massive complex in that they feel as though they have a God given right to be in the Premiership. I'm old enough to have been at the Derby v Leeds game in which Francis Lee & Norman Hunter had the punch up. So have seen many games between the 2 teams. As a club I thinks that Leeds are big - but I just don't know what it is about their fans. Massive chips on their shoulders. They are the Millwall of the north IMO.

Must be a different breed from the many Leeds supporters that i know and travel with from my home town of Belfast.
We all would love to be in the Premier League obviously but never speak of having a divine right to be there.
No knuckledraggers or chips on the shoulders.
If anything we have learned well to take the pi%s out of ourselves.

And may I add we are all very intelligent, good looking and with a charming wit.

Seems we can add a tenuous grip on reality to the list of faults in Leeds fans' character.

Add sarcasm as well.

Our talents are limitless.

I think you mean irony not sarcasm. I'll add that to the list. It's going to be a long list by the look of it.

No, I definitely mean sarcasm, but can add both on

Was this guy on the old BBC 606?

Terry, I played football with you in my garden once. My Dad used to help organise the village fete in Findern and he managed to get you to agree to come and open it one year. You drove to our house and we had a bit of a kickabout before going to the fete. This would have been around 1971. I'm sure you have fond memories of it.
