Name me a player who would could get Winston who would improve on pogba! Don’t say greelish I’ll laugh my pants off 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I've no idea - I'm not a football scout.

But if next season we're outplayed in midfield by our rivals then we have to assume that we're not good enough in that department, don't we?

What’s Grealish got to do with the midfield?

He isn’t going to play in the double pivot, is he? He’d be playing in place of Rashford off the left or at number ten, surely?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the link between the two could simply be financial, ie we can only afford grealish if we sell pogba, rather than a like for like swap.

and don't call me shirley.

Cheers Shirley

Let’s wait till next season then Winston! I think Bruno and pogba will score and create a lot next season! I’m very confident of that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed mate, and I hope you're right - if that midfield clicks then it will be huge for us.

Tbh our team has been a shambles before pogba and up until this point. I can’t judge this team or pogba until real quality comes in. How can I judge pogba under an awful manager like Jose who stifled everyone and was about to sell martial and was ruining rashford. Can’t judge pogba playing with hopeless players like lingard and Perriera. Now I can see us with more quality I’m confident we will see a very powerful pogba and midfield
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just sounds like you are giving him every excuse under the sun

What we do know about Pogba is, like most players he will look better with quality around him. What he won’t do is take a game where we are poor and elevate the players around him.

He has to be used correctly, in that he’s outstanding at through balls and creating things, but isn’t tactically aware or intelligent enough to be a linchpin in midfield, so used in a 3 with the emphasis on attack and creation we’ll get the best out of him, and he his shortcomings won’t be exposed.

Bruno and him will worry a lot of defences next season.

standard regurgitation of the same old cobblers from you.

just for once, why don't you explain what you mean by such vague waffle as "linchpin"[sic], "tactically aware", or "intelligent". refer to other players in the PL - or the SPL I guess - and provide some stats of pogba from the last 4 or 5 games (when he has played with a proper DM alongside him, and a proper no. 10 ahead of him).

you know, make an actual argument, rather than just saying the same 2 or 3 stock phrases over and over and over again.

and, so that we're clear, you think that recently he has been "used in a 3 with the emphasis on attack and creation"?

Well don, firstly I want insulting your bff, I was merely pointing out that he’s caught on the ball, or ball watching, and is prone to choosing bad options (tactically aware) when sometimes the better thing to do is play a simple pass, and use it to move the team around, like a tactically aware player would.

It’s not really his game, which was the point I’m making, use him correctly and we’ll get the best out of him. And just so you know, I don’t think I’ve seen an spl game for years, why would I

Now, kiss his poster, like a good boy.

so calling him "not tactically aware" or "not intelligent enough" is not insulting him?

anyway, i asked for something above and beyond your stock phrases, you know, some actual evidence, or data, to illustrate your point. show me where, in the games since the restart, he hasn't been intelligent, or tactically aware.

who are the "lynchpins" of PL midfields? Ndidi? Kante? De Bruyne? In a midfield two with Matic, what role do you think Pogba has, who else has a similar role in the PL, and how do they compare as players?

Or you can just keep repeating the same things on here all the time - Pogba intelligence tactical awareness/Shaw poor in attack Robertson Tierney/Sanchez's contract "what was Ed thinking?" - with zero additional insight and keep boring us all rigid.

The Club needs a lot more from Pogba yet to justify the investment it made when buying him and paying his wages each month since. Ole needs to tell Pogba that yes, the Club would really like to offer you another long term contract, but meanwhile, in case you don't agree to (the money) it, why not maybe start to look at other options, just in case.

Good news. Anyone who wanted him sold needs their head tested.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why? At the time there was good reason.

I wasn’t one of them mind but I understand why some felt they way.

posted on 9/7/20

Don, I never said not intelligent, I said tactically intelligent, there’s a big difference. I couldn’t comment on pogbas intelligence having never spoken to him, but by all accounts he’s eloquent enough in interviews.

I don’t think you can quantify tactical awareness or intelligence (that’s tactical intelligence before you get your panties in a twist). You judge that by watching players, and viewing how they use the ball and their awareness of players and movement around them, particularly plotting a few steps ahead, using simple passes and movement. . Modric was a master at this, Pogba isn’t. Modric would move the ball around like he was playing chess, orchestrating the team. Pogba is brilliant at /through/final balls though and we need to use this to the max.

But you don’t want to hear that. You kind of remind me of a trump supporter, drinking the kool aid. Anyway, I’ve got stuff to do, so I’ll leave you to your crusty poster, let’s hope he can keep the good form he’s shown up

posted on 9/7/20

One thing I find funny is that people are now saying that Pogba is playing well. He’s playing exactly the SAME as he was before. In fact he played better last season offensively and defensively because he was relied upon to do everything.

Rashford, Martial and Mason stepping up has helped this burden and also the obvious inclusion of Bruno. We’re now playing as a team with each individual taking responsibility to produce the goods.

He'll get the raise he's been after. The cycle will repeat, he'll agitate for a move, etc

Get rid and bring in talent committed to the Utd cause. Been bored of Pogba and his soap opera since he joined.

ah yes, trump, i'd forgotten that, it's one of your 4 or 5 tiresomely trotted out opinions, ad nauseam. so it's pogba can't control games/shaw robertson tierney/sanchez's contract (and PL being money obsessed in general)/trump.

am i missing any? pretty difficult to miss them to be honest, you spew them out all the time, even when entirely uncalled for by the particular debate. you've got some weird OCD/tourette's, where every time the word shaw is written on here you start going on about robertson and tierney, every time pogba comes up it's can't control a game (pogba isn't modric? who knew!)

christ, there are dogs summoned to their dinner by a ringing bell that can control themselves better.

Don, there a lot of irony seeing as all we see from you is frothing at the mouth repeatedly if anyone has the audacity to even criticise Pogba or any of our players. You know, we are allowed to express opinions, and they can be different to yours.

That’s why I compared you to trump supporters, it’s because you are a blinkered wreck of a person That never fails to get uptight, go and get a girlfriend or something, you could share boxes of tampons.

Touching you’ve followed me about so much it seems, and as I’ve explained to you a few times when you get all emotional, we could have bought Robertson at the same time we were looking at shaw, look who’s the better investment now? That was my only point on that, you could change him for any left back available at that tine for a 3rd of the price that turned out better. And I’m not explaining it again.

Now stop following me around. Move on you weirdo..
