What! I picked up this news (or a scrap of it) on the radio a little earlier and came here to get confirmation.
One of my very favourite footballers away from my club. I loved Big Jack and only recently picked his book yet again to read through it once again.
Terrible, terrible news indeed. Very sad. I loved all his interviews. A very honourable gentleman who will be sorely missed.
Lots of great memories of Big Jack!
A big personality as a player and as a manager, large parts of my football life and experiences are fast disappearing....time goes by so fast young men become old men far too soon....then we die!
