That reminds me they got away with 2 red card offences in first game and one today. What is VAR for.

Remember Palace at OT Cahill does a last man foul, Solskjaer esque and VAR ignore a clear red card lol. Then 2nd half a clear foul in the box and because it was probably the most clearest penalty decision you can get VAR excuse was they never looked at the penalty incident and looked at something else. Sheffield U ited game smashing a player out the way is legal but breathing next to the player is a foul. That happened to Jones in space of 2 minutes. Smashed out the way and only reason they scored was assisted by a smash by there player. Irony was 1 minute later Jones went near a Sheffield United player didn’t even do anything and ref blowed for a freekick. Is that corruption or what?

We were never going to win every single game, so we need to remember what a great run we’ve been on and look forward to the next game.

Leicester have three tough remaining fixtures v Sheff United and Spurs before they play us on the last day. They are also without the Turkish lad for the rest of the season. Top 4 is the aim and very much in our hands

We have never ever made it easy for ourselves since Fergie left us, we always squander the opportunity to capitulate on our rivals fecking up

We don’t actually though, do we?

We’ve gained 6 points on Leicester and 4 points on Chelsea since the start of the month.

we'd have all taken this situation when we resumed.

Yes, last night was frustrating but it'll happen. Big test on Thursday to see what Ole will do. I think he will need to make some changes just to freshen it up a bit. Palace will probably sit back and try to hit on the counter so maybe Bailly could come in for a bit of extra pace.

I'd also consider McT for Matic in this game and even start Ighalo for some presence up front.

Probably see something like this:

Ddg
Awb Lindelof Maguire Dalot
McT Pogba
Bruno
James Ighalo Rashford

This game worries me tbh. Has done for a while with the Chelsea game so soon after, and now even more so with the tired legs we saw yesterday

The more I think about it the more I think we'll need energy in this game.

I'd probably go (and I realise it's a bit of a risk and may not be the prettiest) with this:

DDG

AWB
Lindelof
Maguire
Williams or Dalot

Fred
McT
Bruno

Mata
Martial
Rashford

Fred and McT will not give us as much control but they will want to try and stake a claim to play v Chelsea so I think they'd be sound inclusions. The defence won't be that tired but wouldn't be against Bailly coming in though if needed.

Up front our forwards are looking sharp but I think keeping Greenwood and Ighalo back may not be a bad thing as they may have more space to exploit as Palace tire in the second half. Same goes for Pogba as well. I've included Bruno as I don't think he seems tired and we could do with someone to shoot from range as I'm sure Palace will sit deep. Mata is in for his guile and he seems to have a good understanding with Bruno.

Let's just hope we're able to get the early goal and that Palace aren't really interested in putting up much of a fight!

We just need to recover. This will show if we got the bottle to recover from this. It reminded me sort of PSG 1-3 Man Utd game, they got into a good position twice but completely messed up and all we needed was one moment to win it without applying any real pressure. Saints just got a lucky break and got a goal. Another day we clear it and we win.

saints had more shots, shots on target and possession yesterday. for some one obsessed with stats
