If you rate our manager then you genuinely know nothing about decent football, he is on a par with Karanka, making a team difficult to beat does not make them a good team, probably the opposite. For Forest to continue to move forward we definitely need to change our tactics, we carry little or NO threat in most games, that is down to the managers negative tactics, yes it frustrates the opposition but it also frustrates us fans.
Our most creative player, in theory at least, Carvalho hardly featured, instead he went for game breakers, yes all teams needs at least one on midfield, we often had at least three.

Many, many teams have been promoted based on 'percentage' football. It's not my bag, as it's clearly not yours, but it tends to be effective in the Championship.

Winning promotion whilst playing attractive football is a big ask. We managed it but a) we have deeper pockets and b) we have been very fortunate with loans this season.

I'd stick with your current manager and hope for a good window. I expect you to be top 6 at the very least next season. My hunch is that the teams coming down will make the division weaker and not stronger!

Yep, good points, I also think the transfer market will ‘deflate’ rather than ‘inflate’ purely because of current circumstances. We will yet again look back on the January window as a missed opportunity, whereas Swansea took in Brewster, who scored 16 goals, we got Diakhaby and Da Costa who contributed one own goal between them, we were architects of our own downfall by not scoring enough, ironically we missed out by 2 goals, which unfortunately sums us up. Had we got Dwight Gayle in Jan, as was mentioned it would probably be a different outcome. Next season we will either be top 6, or bottom four, depending on how react, it will certainly be difficult to put this capitulation behind us. I just don’t see us having a comfortable mid table season, like WBA it’s just not our way. Your current dilemma is being too good for the Championship, a bit like Leeds, but are you good enough for the premiership, at least you have the opportunity, again, to find out.

Obviously, a lot will depend on how good a window we have.

Pereira will definitely become a permanent signing as a fee of £8 million has already been agreed.

If we can sign a dependable striker and somehow manage to sign Diangana permanently then our attack will be fine. I'm hoping with the aid of a couple of loan signings and whatever cash is left, we'll have enough to stay up.

I make it sound so easy but i'm sure it won't be!

Hughton would be the one I would want if I were you. John Percy seems to be suggesting you will stick with the Frenchman though which is of course good news for us. Plenty more opportunities for amusement. It ain’t ever dull! It’s a thin line. Forest controlled the game at Derby very comfortably but blew it at the end. Lamouchi has been unlucky but he invites bad luck by his tactics.

Yes I agree with that assessment

No Plan B or understanding that actually to keep the call in the oppositions half doesn’t half make it difficult for them to score

It’s a poor indictment when you have to add ‘enough to stay up’, not criticising you as you are being realistic, but to be in a division where you (and I mean that term generally not WBA), can’t really compete is going to make for a pretty negative season, that will of course be true for at least half the division. To be in a division that is so arrogant that you have different rules for the same offence, handball (attacker v defender), is not something that appeals to me. I actually prefer the overall honesty of the Championship, compared to the vagaries of the premiership, good luck to you as you’ve earned the chance, but me as a supporter, am happy where I am, I also doubt the club agrees with my philosophy, along with many other fans, but we are all entitled to our views, that’s why we live in a democracy.

=====================
Be careful in what you say in here dave - the loony left & the Corbyn brigade will be after you - democracy for them only applies if they get the majority

Otherwise if you shout, complain and rant loud and long enough you believe you‘ll convince everyone else that they were right In the first place

Not raging In the slightest, just saying it as it is

Besides, are you lost or just stalking, not sure why you’re over here, or is that no one else will talk to you

So Bournmouth Watford & Norwich are down, all small clubs!

If we can keep the core of this squad together and make a few important signings

So long as Sabri has learned enough of this past season to make the necessary changes in his approach, I don’t see any reason we can’t get an automatic place next season

How you doin’ down there?

Baggy man, shouldn't you be on the Premier League board celebrating your arrival. You finished 2nd in the league and got automatic promotion so fair play to your team. The fact that you are on here attempting to taunt the Rev just shows what a pathetic sad man you are.
