______________

In 1999, Manchester United won the treble. In 2020, Liverpool have won the Premier League while United have finished a distant third, and the world is in the grip of a pandemic with normal life on hold for an indefinite period.

On reflection, I like it not.

Hard to know really - none of us know what he’d be like on the training ground.

Would have thought he has some value to offer but not convinced it’d make a huge difference.

He'd be the miserable bãştard walking around the place. DDG would probably tell him to go eff himself.

listen to rio's high performance interview and you get an insight into the dressing room culture at utd was like. Rio was seen as the jovial one but you get a sense of how intense he was. That intensity made a lot of stars but I also believe broke some like anderson and zaha who needed a different approach

today's young footballer is very representative of today's young people. Using 1999 tactics on them would not work. Let's not forget why keane got kicked out of old trafford in the first place

Are you off your rocker OP? Roy Keane didn’t learn one single thing from SAF when it comes to dealing with players.

Speak for yourself Winston. Anyone who has paid attention knows exactly what he would be like.

Tbf, I think Keano did pay a visit to the training ground before our game against city where we played really well.

One wonders how Fergie would have adapted to the culture today.

Also, I have already said on here I do think we need someone new on the staff. But a tactical type coach, not a drill sergeant.

To come in as goalkeeping coach/sparring partner, sure, why not?

it would be the most awkward management meeting since michael took fredo's points on board, and then had him shot in the head.

If any of you have seen Cobra Kai, you'll know an old school guy training the snowflake generation makes for good entertainment.

Classic moment, imagine Keane saying "A few of you will be going on a boating trip with me this afternoon".

I was excited about Roy Keane the manager/head coach. He did a small miracle at Sunderland and it appeared as if his managerial career would mirror his playing career, but after that initial spell, his results became less than we had hoped. I was thinking, maybe this is the guy to get us back to titles. Now, he's just a bitter, angray, miserable c@nt, and I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club. He's managed to alienate many of his formers supporters, and I don't see him ever returning to the club in any capacity. AMF....

Having seen him be a coach with Martin O'Neil for Ireland for several years I'd not recommend it, he was always picking fights with players and making noise in the media with snide comments when there was no need.

I genuinely can't see what he brought to the set up.

Terrible idea. The bloke is a cuuuuunt. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near the club.

And he's one of my favourite players ever he's just not got the right mentality to be a coach I think.
