If we want DDG to leave, then bringing in Keane will do the trick. He'll hand in a transfer request quicker than Keane can say "shocking!".
Keanes first training ground speach as he stares at DDG...
'There are some names in this envelope of people I think are going to let us down. Make sure your name is not in here
Ole seems to have got the mentality and approach right without needing someone like Keane. would rather bring in a defensive coach like Quiroz.

Feck no - Pogba, de Gea and Lingard would mysteriously be injured for the foreseeable future!
Yeah plenty have said it here already, but he'd be like Mourinho on steroids.

Terrible idea. The bloke is a cuuuuunt. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was trying to find a slightly more diplomatic way to say basically this.
But this will do
I’m imagining him scurrying after Matic on the training ground, screaming bloody blue murder at him for accidentally dropping his bib outside the basket, before the big man wheels around, looks him up and down, and unceremoniously knocks him out with a straight right hand.
That I’d enjoy.
Management by fear works for a short time. Managment by mutual respect works full time.
Not for me. May be useful for some traing sessions.
Keane is a club legend who should have his own statue outside OT. Let’s do that for him instead.

......
No he shouldn’t. His status doesn’t reach that level of legend.

I think that’s a generational argument In my opinion, The records of Giggs, Rooney and Keane warrant a Trinity 2 statue for me.
After all, Law - despite his Ballon D’or and goal record - did play for Man City.
To be fair, the Keane comment was a bit tongue in cheek, but there’s certainly a conversation for who of the last 40 years is deserving of a statue.
Giggs, Scholes and Rooney yeah. Keane doesn’t.
Keane because of the cloud under which he left the club?
I’d commission one with Eric, Scholesy and Giggs, with a tiny little leprechaun Keane sat on their feet wearing a bright green dress eating a bowl of lucky charms.
Because he’s not a legend deserving that status. And he’s a cuuuunt that shows more disrespect to the club than anyone in football.
Probably the single most influential player at the club during his residency.
But that was the thing about the club at that time, he and everybody else in the starting XI at the time (plus some others) were a tight, effective, well-motivated unit.
At the time, and even more so than under SMB, footballing intelligence, the dynamism and the ability to maintain shape (or cover it) was ever present. But Keane was THE most important part of that.
That all being the case, as a coach, well ..... it would be risky
Keane is certainly a United legend.
