Hopefully Frank can improve tactically in Europe- we were lucky to get out of group stage

75 points plus next season

I am not sure why the novice manager argument is so implausible to you tbh. As I said compare his managerial experience to Ole just for starters.

United spend big and end up with same points as last season. Chelsea lose Hazard, have transfer ban, bring in a plethora of unproven youngsters, have Kante gone for most of the season, bring in an unproven inexperienced coaching team who change the style of play 360 degrees from last season.

Those many facts sfar out weigh the one fa that Lampard is loved by the Chelsea fans.

And with all that end up with just 6 points less

If it wasn’t a Chelsea legend managing the club you’d be calling for his head. I don’t get this media loving of a Frank so far. He’s done pretty much what was expected or less. Sarri had a better season
---------------------------------------------------------------
Nope, the fact this non Chelsea legend (in the example) was trusting academy players would've bought him more favor with us than you realize!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mount, Abraham and Tomori were all on loan getting experience. You have just spent a fortune on new players therefore most of the academy won’t play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You think Mount will be going on loan!

it's been absolutely a great season Bridge. Certainly it's far exceeded my expectations.

I didn’t say it’s implausible, it’s clearly a factor. But so is his legend status.

Same thing with Ole. He’s not done a particularly good job. We’ve been fortunate Chelsea and Leicester cooocked up big leads over us.

Not to be facetious, but what other club's fans think about how good a season Chelsea have really is irrelevant. The only opinion that matters is the Chelsea fan's views and that of the board. Rightly or wrongly everyone at Chelsea is happy so far.

Next season, if the defense is still as bad as it is now and there is no improvement in our performances overall, then we will find out how much Frank;s legendary status is worth with fans and Roman

Tbf he has a point, Lampard has undeniably been given more patience than other managers.

How the fans treated Sarri last year was often disgraceful in my opinion...
-----------------------------------------------------
I've seen that argument a lot across the internet, how can Chelsea fans criticize Sarri but not Lampard, etc... simple answer to that question - two wrongs don't make a right mate

It's funny when people like Kieran Dyer do it to Rory (the kickoff guy) cos it's satisfying seeing a smug git squirm, but in general it's a counter productive position to take as a Chelsea fan. It was wrong, but getting on Lampard's back would also be wrong.

Lampard deserves credit but as does Sarri.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely

Lemme stress I had no problem with Sarri, but many Chelsea fans did & I'm arguing their case - doing my DA thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Sarri problem with Chelsea fans is playing out again with Juventus fans. He simply does not have the ability to engage with the fans. He is the opposite of Klopp in this regard.

I think that is a real shame, i liked him too, i thought he spoke a lot of sense in his pressers and i think he used CHO perfectly tbh. Having said that, i am not sure if i can ever buy in to his footballing philosophy as i am a fan who lives for indidual talent.
---------------------------------------------------------
Something about his PR style is quite distant. It reminds me a little bit of Pellegrini, not confrontational or unprofessional but it's not open & welcoming. I can see why some fans would've interpreted it as cold or deceitful in extreme cases, and it's something we've never gotten used to - guys like Mourinho & Conte who wear their hearts on their sleeves generally go over better with us.

I think the Chelsea & Juventus projects have taught him (at the young age of 60+ lol) that he can't work with superstar players who need free roles to flourish. He needs specialists, not game changers.
