What's been reported?

We want him.

We will have to pay a lot.

We are negotiating the fee and payment structure.

It's all speculative stuff that can be explained away should it not happen.

United have a transfer saga EVERY year because we sell newspapers / get internet hits. Why dont you lot get that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christian Falk and Fabrizio Romano don’t work like that. They report on what they know and don’t do it for clicks.

If it was Miguel Delaney or Neil Custis etc I’d be agreeing with you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course they do it for clicks. It's their job isnt it.

Tell me. What are these track records.

What deals have they broke, how early did they break them and how many do they get wrong?

I doubt anyone can tell me. But yeah. Let's call them reliable anyway because other people do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scroll through Romano twitter and you will see.

He broke Ake to City during the week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How early did he break it. Days, weeks, months before ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well the deal is not official yet so I would say he’s broken it pretty early.

You've questioned whether we were in for the lad and people have given you lists of sports journalists who have reported this interest.

Do you still deny we aren't interested or in for the player ?

Exactly.

I’m one of the first on here to shoot down rumours when they are from questionable sources but those guys are the best in the business.

Matth do you know if we will accrue interest owed to Dormond on the unpaid balance? If so how much? I'll be very angry if it's more than 1.5% given the current interest rates.

Doesn’t matter how soon though does it? Just shows again that he received correct info and is one of the few that constantly does.

Interest isnt the same as almost having negotiated the deal, which is what's being claimed on here as fact.

Of course it does. Anyone can repeat what they have heard. I heard about the Ake deal on Skysports and messaged some mates about it. I didn't break the news.

Obviously if the same individuals are repeatedly breaking news of deals being done then that might give them a little more credibility, but nobody can tell me what deals they have broke, how early they did so and how many they get wrong.

Matth is like the BBC gossip article.

On a serious note Christian Falk is legit and this deal looks like it’s edging closer.

Do you still question our interest in the lad ?

No people are speculating how the fee will be paid given the present economic instability etc

I question where the certainty comes from.

The reported fee
Greenwoods development
Reported interest rom Liverpool
Dortmund denial of receiving any bids
The players silence on the subject

Lots of reasons to question if this will happen when you consider the only thing suggesting it could happen are some people who are paid to sell newspapers / internet hits.

RDD - If you don’t want to put any stock in transfer gossip until a deal is officially announced that is your prerogative but surely if other people want to engage in gossip & transfer speculation then they can?

Why don’t you just ignore threads like this?

No one with any kind of a reputation has reported there is any real interest from Liverpool. They’d have to sell Mane or Salah to afford him and I can’t see anyone spending huge on them given their age.
