Now that African cup of nations is no longer going ahead next year January (postponed until 2022).
I'm all for taking a gamble on Benrahma (over Zaha). Inexpensive low risk, high reward option. Sort of gamble that Leicester took on Mahrez.
Serves a purpose of being versatile as well, which is one of Frank' main focus from signings.
That would be a tad overkill though, in terms of wide attacking options. Definitely shouldn't be a priority at present.
Having said that, who knows when Pulisic will return from injury. Rumours of 1-2 months out, means he will miss start of next season (will he return to formidable standard?)
Would bridge the age gap which currently exists between our attackers.
After Havertz has signed.
The positions to address next are LB & GK, another wide attacker of that profile mentioned above is a bonus.
Someone like Alaba would cover all bases (LB, midfield and CB if necessary), one part of solving defensive deficiencies and is of the required standard to suit Frank's attacking ideals but Alaba would be a pipe dream.
Don't forget C/B,I'm starting to get twitchy at the mention of Rudi or AC or Zooms ! but Alaba,would certainly be a great buy !

Pulisic and Ziyech will probably be first choice wingers Harvetz is versatile, capable of playing anywhere in midfield, can play as a false 9 if asked.
With Pedro and Willian gone, probably need another reliable winger to rotate. Zaha will probably get a fair share of games, especially with the congested fixtures next season. Benrhama would be a good shout too, if Zaha wants to be first choice elsewhere !!

He’s had few injuries, post lockdown he looked short of match fitness.
He’ll probably get a chance against Bayern.

Ziyech, Werner & Havertz is enough new attackers in one window, anymore and team fluidity (especially with a short pre-season) will take awhile. Even if CHO was loaned out having Ziyech, Pulisic & Havertz as RW options is fine.
Plus, never rated him, not gunna lie.
Think after Havertz, the defence and goalkeeping situation will be the prioirity.

Alaba would be incredible. I’d love him - but I just can’t see him making the move to Chelsea.
Zaha, however, is a realistic target, even if a winger is less of a priority right now. If we do sign Havertz, I see him playing centrally behind the striker - so we would probably still use 2 wingers per game. I just think this is another great opportunity.
And Devil, you may not rate him, but I suspect that means you haven’t watched our games against Crystal Palace. He terrifies me every time he gets the ball. I’d love him to do that for us.
Would be slightly ironic replacing Willian with Zaha seeing that both have quite poor goalscoring records given their ability.
I'd definitely take Zaha for £30 million if that's true. Doubt it is though

Like we did with RLC - could do him good. I have a feeling Frank is going to want 4 wide players in the squad though, so not sure he would approve.
