Sorry but Benrahma wasn't at the races tonight. Watkins wasn't either, but maybe that's cos he didn't get any service. Brentford were poor - had a load of half chances but took a second touch every time so didn't get many shots away. Shocking record in the play-offs.

Brentford have to do what we did.
They have to keep their players, figure out why it went wrong for them at the final hurdle, correct that and come back stronger next season
They didn't have the mental strength when it really mattered and their manager didn't help by basically telling everyone they were already promoted.
Poor ol' Pontus must feel well and truly left in the stalls.
I'm a big Pontus fan but he only has himself to blame.
Back in the very early 60s , Sir Don told BIg Jack to reel in the rebel side and do it his way and if so the rewards would flow and of course did.
I'm sure MB would have had the same conversation with Pontus but the Villa incident proved he didn't listen so he went.
....and as much as it grates to say it, well done Fulham, they delivered when it mattered tmost.

Agree. Watkins and Benramha looked out of their depth in a game that really mattered.
I watched some of the last games and the teams they were up against when they won were just awful and showed them too much respect.

They are still a very good team but we’re beaten by a better one on the night.
Fulham got their tactics spot on and deserved the win. Brentford, over the season, were the better team.
League results count for nothing in the playoffs though.
I’d take Benrahma and Watkins. Both offer something we haven’t got at the moment.

I argued the fact when Brentford clawed our points gap back that they had to take us!..
They didn't and those points they clawed back we gained again!..
They finished where they did the same as we did last season, same failures?....maybe similar, but with the same outcome!..
Better luck next time but credit to Fulham, they won it so surely they deserve it!.
